I think we all see our own symbolism, what I see is this...
We all end up in a society where we are forced to live in denial...as though nothing bad is happening, as mindless automatons, we aimlessly walk around trying to put a smile on our face, to show the fact that we are trying to blend in, thus, the robots. The guy who was on the pedistle shows that if you do not conform to the societal group...your dead to them...at the end, they are so careless and programmed, they end up doing the nasty...
It's true about our society...i hope america doesn't turn into SMILEYTOWN, USA anytime soon, or be dead before i see it

A definate interpritation of pop culture america, a way of saying
" become one of us, smile, or DIE... " I alos liked how they were really robots: representing the " mindless" drones or atomatons of pop culture america, and also a rather macobb ending.
