Reviews for "Smile!"

interesting. most definitely

this is one of my favorites on Newgrounds.

I love noir films to begin with. This also reminds me of the book 1984 or V for Vendetta. Except the government *or whatever those people are supposed to be* wants you to smile all of the time.

I gave a 1 on humor because of the very end after our little guy gets lasered off of the platform .. that wasn't funny .. but the government people have like a sex/rave party was funny *I wasn't expecting that at the end, so it came as a surprise to me* Otherwise the premise of this short is no laughing matter.

crazy governments.

Watch it!

Its not scary but its very creepy and disturbing. Nice message though.

Creepee

it was creepy if you ask me but you didnt ask so its not creepy until you ask me if its creepy so its not creepy yet!!!! y the horrible music!!! it was shizz nizzle mah gizzley pizzle izzle snizzle mizzle AAAHHH IM GOIN CRAZY COZ OF MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Incredible

Amazing, outstanding. The graphics are more than perfect, the style is unique, the music was well chosen, the blood was very well animated and drawn, an overall of 10, great animation. I know the way you drawed your characters was meant to be something no one did yet, and no one did yet. But how about trying to do the same with realistic characters?

An amazing piece.

I'm not usually into these sort of animations. "Goth" isn't my thing, though I do enjoy a fair bit of noir and such. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed this piece. It stirs up issues such as pressure, and you can truly empathize with the "spiked guy", because we've all been in situations of pressure, even if this case is intensified 100-fold. What I really loved was the sound--it was subtle, but it added something hard to explain; a sort of tension and worry that wouldn't have shown through in an average track.

All in all, this animation really has some strong political views shown in an abstract sense; which I love. Congratulations!
