That was a great movie... but that retarded sex ending ruined it completly... seriously had such a cool just like twisted crazy theme then just had to make it retarded... could of easily just made a creepy like smile series like that... i suggest making more and getting rid of that last retarded gay scene
Yubboz seeder.
Hmm...Now, this cartoon, as an idea, could've been taken two (or perhaps more) ways. Either it could come out as a sad, a bit sick and weird, creative but disturbed, innovative, but something that went a bit too far. Or, it could be seen as a funny (but not "funny"), black humour-sort-of-thing. In my eyes it was too disturbing, and the idea was too yucky to follow and appreciate, as it should have been. I believe you should've taken away more depth and blackness, and made it slightly less sinister and agressive. You made the movie, perhaps without knowing it, so the viewer was a "victim". I don't know, but when I watch a flash movie, I want to be a third person. An onlooker, if you like.
If you did make the movie slightly less dark, then the whole idea and concept could come out completely wrong. It would feel fake and staged. You did try to bring back a bit of humour and randomness by involving that sex-scene at the end, which seemed detached and irrelevant. If that scene was more gory (I dunno if thats quite the word I'm looking for...), or completely left out then perhaps the viewer would be left with a darker impression of the flash. But I think that this way feels as if you builtup to a climax, and ending it like that feels like a let-down.
Btw, the have nothing to do with what I think of the flash, because it was near-perfect (the graphics, sound etc.). What I think is what you should be working on is what inpression you want to make? And once you've what impression you want to make it, will you add a sexy scene at the end of it?
Anyway, I wanted to ask, the five guys pressing the buttons, they were robots right? Is that part of the idea? Robots will rule us? I wish I was a robot. Woo....
Blob.
OMFG
I've been an on-again-off-again fan of NG for years now, but I never stumbled upon this pièce de résistance. I was absolutely blown away. This one is getting my all out review style.
Graphics (9)
The graphics, while simplistic, are at least very consistant. I had to take a point away for the occasional missed frames and a few other glitches, but otherwise this is an incredibly well-done set.
Style (10)
"Film Noir" meets "Stick Death Theater", and their baby eats Goths for snacks. The hackles on the back of my neck were raised through much of the film. This is very compelling work for such a crude medium, and a testament to the author's dark side and imagination.
Sound (5)
Um, well, I can't get sound to work in flash on this Fedora Linux box, and I don't have root to fix it. Since I can't judge it, I averaged it.
Violence (10)
It's still 'only' cartoon violence, but this is violence for a purpose. Violence for it's own sake is just sad (and yet I play that penguin smacking game ;), but this is a great example of using violent imagery to drive home a point no other way can.
Interactivity (10)
Anybody that puts a pause/stop and a play button in their movie gets an automatic 8 from me in this category, no matter how stupid the movie might be. This is a great movie, and I gave extra points for a clean interface and attention to detail.
Humor (7)
This is very black humor, and well used at that. It's not "funny" and I don't think it's really intended to be. The best of black humor makes you consider the pain and plight of others, in other words, it makes you think.
Overall (10)
"Overall" is not necessarily an average.
This is flat out the best movie I've yet seen on New Grounds, after many years. There may be better movies here, but I have yet to find them.
Smile?
how in the name of gods ass hole can u smile at that
