why are people dissapointed by the ending?
Why are people complaining about the ending? To me, the whole thing was good. If you get the message, you get the ending. They're having some kind of party, and ignoring how the guy got killed. The people on the desk is society, and the guy being forced to conform and smile is the individual, they made him suffer, he did, and they partied. It was all good. I loved the concept.

i thought it was wonderful... up until the end. i know it has a point to it, but frankly i think it could have been expressed in other (more appealing) ways.

I don't know quite what to say. It was intriguing. I thought when it showed that the smiles on the people at the desk were mechanical, that it might of been like a hidden message in the story. But the ending kind of ruined that meaning..
