Your flash truly deserves to be #1, or at the very least in top 5. Your animation, sound, style and satire are all beautifully composed and together provide an extremely entertaining experience.
The animation, although not as brilliant or flashy as some other cartoons, is still extremely smooth and enjoyable. The drawings are very eye-pleasing. Their simple proportions and textures put the viewer at ease. The sound, as well, is appropriate at all times and adds to the fidelity of the overall feel.
Adding to this "kick back and watch" feel is the style of the animation. Almost children's-cartoon like, the colors and transition allows the viewer to feel a type of kinship with the flash, thus making every character far more likeable.
And supplementing the feeling of kinships would be the appreciation for your style of satire. By simultaneously satirizing schoolwork and Final Fantasy, you connect two aspects of pretty much anyone's lives (obligations vs. leisure) in a way that makes the overall feel extremely humorous. The user can thusly enjoy a good laugh at the expense of both aspects.
Other than that, I honestly don't know what I can say that hasn't been said before. Great job, and I hope you post more on NG.

I cannot believe one person could of made this fine piece of art. It must of taken you months. I hope you remembered to save each time... :S I just have to say this is the greatest flash movie i have ever seen in my life, and the best movie ever put on newgrounds. Too bad you arent looking into making a number 2, but i understand how long these take. Keep up the great work dude!
