Wonderful cartoon, great message.
There is a lot to be said about this flash at a first glance. The graphics are brilliant, reminiscent of television cartoons. The style and animation are smooth and extremely pleasing to the eye. The music (though I could not understand the lyrics) worked with the visuals very well, adding to the overall zaniness of the atmosphere. The cartoon itself is humorous and clever.
But in truth there is so much more to this cartoon than purely the obvious. The message about personal connection being more important than external differences. The author conveys the idea of the taboo of cat/rabbit relationships subtley and artistically through the reactions of others and small hints (i.e. the sign in the beginning). Yet he presents a girl who is not necessarily acting against the taboo... she's acting with her sentiments. She in fact does not even recognize the taboo for what it is... to her the man she pursues is no different than any other man, rabbit or cat--the only difference is she wants him and no one else. Brilliant.
I hope we can look forward to more of this work in the future.
Intriguing
It was a simple but satisfying watch. The movements, especially the rotating angles were very fluid, as were the transition from scene to scene. The story was absolutely adorable! I wonder what happens to them afterwards ... ?
