I wasn't around when this first came out but I know it's really famous, I actually really liked it, the song was really nice and the ending was really cute, I was smiling the whole time. It feels like an old Loony Tunes cartoon, with a certain anime flair, which worked out much better than I expected.
I remember watching this back when it came out. Good nostalgic memories! Nothing needs to be said about this that the animation itself doesn't already show; it's a masterpiece for its time. Clearly a lot of time and effort was put into this, and even today it holds up nicely.
