This is the game that absolutely RULED my school days from the day they brought computers into my elementary school until I graduated all that time later. It was everywhere. Free game sites? Got it. Unblocked sites? You bet your ass. Here? Well, duh.. Weirdly, this ended up being the very first Sonic game I played at the ripe old age of around 6 as I had no access to the hot OFFICIAL titles of the time, like Colors, Unleashed, Adventures 1 and 2, and for a while in the sidescroller department, this game stood as my only contact with Sonic games. Many years later, I still love this one as much as I do the official titles in the Sonic franchise. This game helped me kill countless boring hours in the past, it still does now every now and again, and I couldn't imagine a world without it. Dennis, you ROCK.
