This was the first game that introduced me to Sonic the Hedgehog. Not anything officially licensed by SEGA, but instead, a fan-made game from 2004... and what a masterpiece of a job it did at introducing a game series that was unknown to me prior. The admiration that I hold for this game can't properly be expressed through a single review alone, as I could absolutely go on about this for hours. However, I will say that through this game alone, it perfectly captures the style of what a Sonic game should be: Fast paced and constantly moving from one point to the next, where slowing down is only an option, saturated alluring colors and beautiful background scenery, mixed together with that upbeat music that makes you yearn for high speed action as you play as your favorite character. Dennis, if that is your real name anyway, you sir, created the epitome of not just what a flash game should be, but what a Sonic game is meant to be. Honestly, my man, SEGA could really take some notes from you. You captivated my heart as a child and even today I can find myself coming back to this game time and time again. I'm sure the millions of others who have been blessed enough to find this feel the same. My only complaint? Two levels? Ugh I wish this game was longer, it's such a tease to only get two levels and then reach the end already. I hope everything is well for you in 2020 and that you continue to create more amazing works of art.
