Reviews for "ultimate flash sonic"

I frikin' love Sonic, you kidding me?

Well anways, Sonic is AWESOME! And you made a great game. Humor got a ten for the glitch with the chao, I thought it was funny. I don't CARE about the fault! 10 is what you're getting if you like it or not!

Wow!

This must have been the best flash sonic game I have ever played! It had great graphics right from the game, great music right from the game, and great characters right from the game. If you had made it a bit longer, than it would have been better, but that's my only complaint. I like the secret characters idea too. But the only other thing that was wrong was that I couldn't figure out how to use the password function. You might want to explain that in the section above this. Great job!

Awesome

awesome game but i have a q? where did u get the sprite for shadow? did u create it? becuz i dont think shadow is in sonic advnace 2 and if he is id like to know how to get him

Very impressive...

...that is, until you get to the actual gameplay. Let me put it this way. If you didn't doo such a good job making me think that this was a real Sonic game, (looks like a Sonic game, sounds like a Sonic game), then I'd say the gameplay was spot on, perfect. However, certain things didn't behave the way I expected them to so I must say that the gameplay could've been better. The physics are very much like those of an official Sonic game, except they seem to be overly exaggerated in some places and downplayed in others. I know how difficult collisions are to do, but there could have been more lee-way on some of them. It seems to be tough to jump onto a higher ledge if you don't have the jump perfectly placed (the wall collisions seem to "stick out" in the upward direction, if you know what I mean") And what's with the bouncing off the walls. It's impossible for Sonic to "hug" a wall if he's just been sent flying off a spring. It's almost as if the walls are made of some sort of bouncy material that keeps him from maintaining contact with them. I also wanted to comment on your use of graphics. You certainly did a great job ripping those "land"/"object" sprites from Sonic Advance 2, but the ones you drew in flash just seem to stick out (the "diving board like" bouncy platforms, and the rotating ground)

If you're serious about perfect "Sonic game emulation", you can certainly tweak some of these things and get them near perfect if you devoted enough time and effort to it. Don't get me wrong though, as I'm sure you've already spent a great deal of time to bring it along this far. You've certainly got all of the base concepts in place to make for a great sonic game. You should definetly add a few more levels onto this and try to expand it some more. It would be interesting to see just how far you can take this.

Keep up the good work

almost perfect

Admitedly this is a great game but it has so many flaws that can work for you or against you. I look forward to the finished project. by the way nice try douche_anator3000. I wonder if it actually worked. That would be funny.
