but the people just walked away from the zombies

I liked the whole thing.
I liked the part when they were all watching a 50's horror movie, and the dumb girlfriend was just standing there screaming when there was a brand new muscle car that could more than likely hit excess speeds of 135 mph, the keys were more than likely in the ignition, and she still stood there. It's so friggin' true. I didn't expect everyone to die in the movie either. But, atleast it wasn't chiche.
