Pactice your faces then, they are very important to anything involving characters. Because mostly that's the thing we look most at when we have a character (scientifically proven fact).

It's ok :). Just keep trying and don't let anything hold you down.
And now when I look at it again it's not all too manga-ish, but it has some strong influences (apart from the face :P).
Just keep at it and try new things here and there, try everthing and see what you come up with.

If you've just tried this thing out for the first thing out...then I'm wishing you luck, because it takes a lot of time to develop a style.
