looks sweet, looks as if it was drawn on that expensive water colour paper.
do you have to have a tablet for it to work? or does it work with the mouse too? and is this its site http://www.ambientde..com/artragedown.html
?
haven't ever really tweened like this, so i gave it a shot.

First of all thanks..
I have Artrage Wacom edition, and i'm pretty sure you don't need a tablet for the Artrage program itself..
And, yeah. That is the site..

what framerate is that? It looks really jumpy for some reason.

That is so awesome, it looks really profesional, perfect.

18, each tween is from 65 to 75 fps. i didn't line the tweens up perfectly at the end of each loop, and if you don't shrink the web browser size, it will look like a huge jump.

which tween are we looking at the snow? or does something else happen?
if its the snow, it looks smooth and good, but you could have done it easier with AS i reckon.

yeah, mogly's right. AS'd have been easier.
Plus, try upping the framerate to like 24 or 30
Heres something I made as a prototype for something I might actually improve on. It's a flash (8) drawing pad sorta thing, where you draw onto the BitmapData object (the black square) with your mouse then hold space and click to generate the ASCii code. Currently it's only black and white but I might improve that and allow different colours, this version only took me 15 minutes to do and it's pretty simple. I got the idea from a Bitmap to ASCii program I saw a while ago and it occured to me it would be pretty simple to do the same thing in Flash because of the BitmapData class.
It may take a couple of seconds to write the ASCii code, at which time Firefox/IE may not respond but don't worry and just wait a couple of seconds. I'm posting this here because you draw in it, yes that is my excuse :) I chose O and C because the character widths are the same.
Sup, bitches :)

yea, im always up and down with AS. one month it's really interesting, the next month it isn't. this snow scene was just an exercise with tweening 3 layers of snow, and trying to loop them perfectly. i'll have to try again, some day...

You need to hold space then click, then the browser should appear to crash momentarily XD

Yep, just need to add blood.. though I think that would be easier to just animate I'll do it in AS just to see.

I could see it being a poster on a wall or something perfect, not the ultimate perfection.

hope you read this before you start making this..
what i meant is so the blood stays there when the enemies die. you just draw an extremely simple blood splat for now, and then i'll change it.
check out what i meanhere..

when you shoot them, the blood stays there for a bit then disappears

well you better get in one then else im dropping you!
working on an animation for my chemistry class, over the next day or so. There is a measurement called a Mole, which is 6.02 x 10^23, which is a helpful number for calculating the number of atoms in an element. Scientists declared the 23rd of october to be Mole Day, where they can celebrate, blahblahblah. We can bring or do anything for class on monday (late celebration) for moleday, like make guacamole, write a song about moles, etc.
I found a fact that if you took an animal mole, and multiplied it by the Mole number 6.02 x 10^23, they would stretch from the earth to the moon and back 1/3 of the way. so i decided to make a movie about 2 characters in space who are suprised to see a tower of moles from the earth to the moon. here's a little snippit that i've been working on for about half an hour
