It is really beautiful work. Sad, I'm sorry to hear about your friend.
I've seen so much excellent work being posted here lately. It's great to see so many different styles of art work, I thought I should make a contribution too. Drawn in Flash, took about 3ish hours. Done from a DA stock photo, I'll eventually post a larger version there.
Woohoo, the BG colour turned out, that's the first time it actually worked.

Thanks alot Method! I appreciate the kind words from the people who like the stuff that i make! Sorry for being so unproductive this year so far. Dont worry though, im not dead and when college is finished i will overload ng with AITD work again, heh, including Autumn Tree.
And lord Nax, that was a really interesting thing you posted. I liked it alot. Was that aquarel or drawn with pencils? Really nice coloruse and a pretty gripping&effective way of getting the point across with that shadow holding on to the tree.
Also, AGH that was a very awesome digital painting you made! You seem to handle light, shadow and skin texture perfectly in the digital impressionist things you make. Do you make these type of things with real paint also? I think it would certainly give an extra dimension to these sort of artworks if you could see the dry paint texture on canvas.

Lol, I know. I got a whole heck of a lot of reviews for Tinman telling me just how overused robots (particularly the kind looking for/with/wanting emotion).
I relly need to get around to watching all your Flash, I've been meaning to ever since you reviewed mine. I'm lazy and forgetful.

I really like this one, and I'm sorry to hear about your friend. When someone you care about commits suicide it's a hurt that never goes away completely.

Including... so there'll be more then. :D I finally watched Elephant today, it's an excellent movie, but pretty disturbing. From what I've seen of Autumn Tree I think I can see where it's coming from a bit better now. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Light and shadow are sort of a given when you can just use the eyedropper tool. :P Yeah, most of my paintings are similar, faces with dark backgrounds. This is a small portrait (oil, roughly 25cm x 25cm) I did in 2002. Not composed in any way, shape or form, just her in the middle of blackness. The scan looks bloody awful because over the years the paint has sort of smudged so the black is no longer black. The shirt was badly done anyway. I hope none of you have any idea of who this is, and if you do I don't hold any of her beliefs seriously at all. O_o My painting style is a lot more anal in this one than in most of my others, now I'm not as serious about getting every little detail right. When I finally finish one of the paintings I've started this year I'll post it here.
You can see a bigger version here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/19484585/ The image is something like 2mbs, but you can see it in all of it's uh... textural glory.

Yeah. Just like neg said, it goes in waves. At one point the NGAST is all noobs posting stick gifs, and another great artists posting art and animation. Wow. That picture is no exception. I love the expression and the coloring. Very impressive :D
MORE GREAT ART!

Thats a really awesome painting. You rule so much in drawing people anatomically correct. Flawless with the right way of light direction and expression. If only you lived 600 years ago, then i would now see work of you in this 1500 paged book about the history of art i'm reading, lol. Oh and isnt elephant such a cool movie? I love the slow, almost boring way it is filmed and the way it puts attention on and explores the characters without having cliche dialogue. Really inspiring.
Man, i seriously am still impressed by that thing of Naxla on the previous page. The longer i watch it the more i love it. I love the way the plain environment can kind of represent the empty feelings of the main character. And the supersimple composition, with the shadow that very clearly directs the perspective, but which also is the most interesting thing conceptwise. Im going to save it on my hard disk and check it out every now and then ^_^ Keep up the good work! Im going to sleep now for a couple of days

Ya I know, like i said origionally just the basic shape. I still have lots of work to do on it.
ALRIGHT!! I am FINALLY starting to learn my way around PhotoShop, even though I only have PS 6, lol. Anyway, here's a sig I made I made for Nuclear Whale.

I drew this, it's basically a reference drawing of the mobile named Armor from the popular free online game known as Gunbound.

Totally. How realistic the dialogue is between charcters is so real it's kind of scary... and the way they move around throught the halls it's like you're walking right along with them. I could identify (with) everything in the movie, and that's where a lot of movies fall down. Even if it's something as ridiculous as Being John Malkovich, the characters should behave in a realistic way or IMO it isn't a good movie.

I like the design but I'm not sure about the text. It looks either too small or to hard to read.

I think watching those crazy Savior movies inspired this:
Robots,They're taking over. This is a character from my new comic "Techno Babbel" its like a spunky and dark action comic that I will be working on soon after I finish up a few things.
