BBS background colour as far as sigs are concerned is #222222, this is the value I use and I find it works best

Yeah, something that I went over thoroughly like 3 pages ago. Be careful about the consumption of bandwidth though. It probably wasn't on purpose - but none of us like errors, and errors come from mad bandwidth consumption.. so just for future reference, try to be more cautious.

(no 'fense ICF or Rextex..) LOL... ahhh, JGelzer is trying to get them call emselves the expert sig makers... am i not the only one who sees humour in that?

just a quick question... ever since i saw that i was wondering whether you could blur it up in a small space (say just on the edge, enough to fit a tag in) rather than the whole thing... i think it would work, but im not sure...

Well, it's not blurred, the opacity is just set to 50 i think it is. You see, the lower the opacity, the easier the hidden image is to see when selected. But also its easier to see when not selected so you just have to get the balance just right. So yea you could make it just one the edge maybe it that's what your meaning.

Well the easiest way I've found to do it is to open the gif you want in IR then save it as a .psd file, each frame will be a different layer. Then open it in PS and change the canvas size, move the sprite around and so on. Then you can create the background in PS on a new layer(s) and when your satisfied save it again. Open it in IR and make all the needed frames with which layers you want visible for each one. You don't have to use all the frames of the gif if you don't want. Remember to right click on each frame and select "Do not dispose" it does some shit I'm not sure of but you don't need it and it takes the filesize down.

I don't know of any actual tutorials for it I just mucked around with it really to learn a bit, any questions just ask.

yeah thats exactly what i was meaning... sorry if i said it in a confusing way... but yeah... i was just thinking maybe we could start putting it on the edge or something for those who request anything from us as a little subliminal message!

Just for an excuse to post again I made a new sig. I was attempting to simulate Silv3r's whole green/nightvision thing but it didn't come out quite like I had hoped it would, I'm still happy with it though. Critisizim is a must.

Welcome back Dan, I might have a go at that if I ever get any free time off work and everything else. So, have you been doing much/any sigging lately? or just taking a big long break?

Hey dude im stilling haveing trouble with the gif. I open it in IR and save it as a .psd image then I open it in photoshop and resize. but when i try to make a backround for a sig it makes me remake the backround for every layer wtf.

Ok.... first off... check the bottommost layer in the psd file ISNT called background. If it is, and its a layer that you need, duplicate it and delete the original.
Then make your background on a new layer, drag it to the bottom when its done.
If the animation gif had transparancy (ie had no background) then all is fine, if not, you need to delete the parts you don't want on ALL the animation layers.
Now save the psd.
Open it in IR, make sure your background layer is turned on in each frame.
You should not have to make more than 1 background this way.

nice work guys... very nice...

y3llow, nice attempt at the whole colour overlay thing, just a hint, work with gradients... ive found that makes it look a lot more stylish... annnny ways... not alot goin on round here... bleh!

dammit, i was gonna make a Max Payne Sig a while back, but i just never got round to finishing it... id always start, get halfway through it, then a storm would come along and id have to get off the computer since we never bothered getting a surge blocker for the PC... but oh well...

you know what really shits me though, the fact that i cant seem to find any max payne 2 pics... that and the fact it isnt out on ps2 here... i wanna play the damn thing!
