you should try the text with the same gradiant as the BG, but with a metalic 2 pixel metalic outline and a dark-red/black drop-shadow

the glow around the robot looks a little iffy.... either make it bigger and softer ( still faint/transparent ), or take it out alltogether.
and while the background is nice, you really have to squint to see some of hte extra details, like i believe theres some diagonal lines faded across parts of the sig, they are a little hard to define. ( of course, my monitor is pretty shite... i mean, i might as well use it as a giant novelty IBM paperweight for all its worth... so, maybe on a proper monitor, all these touches look nicer, and thats happened in the past, i commented on someones sig, and then went to college and saw the same sig on a different screen, and instantly noticed the differences... )
and while standard verdana-esque text works sometimes, i dont think it fits with the whole, techno thing y'got going on. But thats just nitpicking
the only other critique is lack of colour, its all just shades of grey, you could make those cross lines orange or something ( to match the alternate text colour ), or make both the lines and alternate text colour purple ( to match parts of that robot, his visor his purple, a bit of the elbow looks fainlty purple... )
but i like it, its pretty goddamn good, a definate step up from what has apparently become the "norm" in here in the last few weeks
