I got Sonic CD for PSN some time ago. I've been on and off of it.

I've grown quite fond of the jp soundtrack.

Since we're talking about physical copies, a few years back I bought a Genesis with Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 1, 2, 3, Sonic 3D Blast and Spinball in that order.

A few months back I bought a Dreamcast and Sonic Shuffle.
I fucking love that game, I even managed to get a 4-man versus going on, it was the most fun I ever had playing a Sonic game.

I have a theory about Sonic CD. I think Sonic CD was in production before Sonic 2. I know that they were supposed to be the same game, but the difference between the two is astounding.

Also, while I haven't beaten the game yet, I feel that the idea that Sonic CD is the best Sonic game is not accurate. Sure, it's fun, the music is great, and it's a more advanced version of Sonic, but I don't believe it's the best title in the series. My vote still goes to Sonic 3.

I havent really played Sonic 3 fully yet, but I agree Sonic CD isnt really the best Sonic game.
But it has the best soundtrack though! :D

All right, I finally figured out how to play Sonic 4 Episode 2, and here is my feedback: it's barely anything more than a more original version of Episode 1, but I still think it counts as a legitimate sequel to the older games, specifically Sonic CD. I'm glad Tails is back in full force as a playable character.

I thought it was terrible story wise. Why does metal sonic awake in the bad future? and guess what happens when you get all chaos emeralds and reach the end? NOTHING. The music was pretty annoying as well.

I'm hearing alot of hype with Sonic 4 and i still haven't played it.. lol

Downloaded Sonic Generation demo on my work PC... but my boss came in as I was about to play it. It'll have to wait, I guess. :3

Hopefully he lasts longer than this. I am not so sure his Android base will stick, though. Users with less than 4.5 inch screens are going to have a rough time playing episode 1, and good luck running episode two with a minimum requirement of a tegra 2.

So I finally played the Sonic Generations demo. My work PC isn't quite suitable for the game, but nonetheless, I got to play it. I was a little frustrated by the physics of the game, mostly because I wasn't used to it. But, all in all, this is definitely the most impressive Sonic game they've put out in YEARS. I really want to get it for Xbox... when I get an Xbox.

Agreed, but the console version of Sonic Generations still had the bad future of Stardust Speedway. Now that I know that the bad ending of Sonic CD is somehow canon, I have virtually no motivation to get the good ending. Thanks a lot, game.

Sure thing. We're pretty slow moving, but more people are always welcome.

Sonic Generations was both fun and nostalgic, too bad the keyboard controls felt awkward sometimes (in the 3D strafing sections).

I only owned one issue of the Archie one.......back when it was new (I was SEVEN.......god I feel old...........), and I never read the Fleetway one. I know the Archie one was really cheesy starting off, but eventually got more serious later on - of course, a lot of the late '80s & early '90s were made of chese, so that's understandable.

A lot greater than some make it out to be. It's my favourite Sonic since Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, the level designs are usually breath taking and very cleverly designed. The power-ups are loads of fun and easy to figure out while the multiplayer mode makes the screen just to clustered.
