Maybe so, maybe not. alex works at a good clip when he gets motivated and I've never counted him out of it. A couple of weeks ago gfox and I were chatting and I said I might catch up with him about the time we hit 27,500. The only issue was that, by that time, he'd be out of school. Now that France is out of Euro, I don't even have that to keep him busy with something else ~sigh~ He can far more readily increase his pace than I can. We shall see =)

It's 8k blams in a year, so in one gulp it seems like a lot, but it's only 666/month which is about what you'd end up with doing 30/day or so. Still, it's pretty solid consider how often you disappear for long periods :-P~~~~~~

You passed him, so it looks like you got 4 back so far. Providing you don't slow down or stop again, you should get your slot back in no time =)

Yeah, I always thought of her that way, too. That's because she used to. But she climbed high enough in saves to get onto the top 50 saves list, and since then she's been doing fairly well in the balance department, I guess.

It's great that you love Dogma's how elite are you? animated gif, but Bila, we really gotta talk here: posting the same pic over and over again (as you've been doing with that pic and another one or two, I believe), is really frowned upon on the BBS. It would be better if you just used that pic as your signature picture.

Go into your grounds gold menu through the sign-in link, then click on signature pic, and upload it.

Also, you can make it a link (to Dogma's list, for example), which would be a much better way of advertising his list without pic spamming and without even having to worry about uploading the pic in the picture slot each time you post. O_o

Just a little bumpage to warn that the end of gfox's updating of this list is coming soon. The 1 year anniversary of this list, incidentally, is also approaching (it started on 7/26/2003). Perhaps I will time the list update to coincide with that, but... eh... probably not, I feel like updating this week, I think. Still, if I get busy (I do have a wedding to go to on the 24th), that may push it back to around then. Either way, it's EFFECTIVELY one year since I began this list.

And now that I'm about to pass fixit in saves today, I will be doing one more update of both top 50s and then passing on the reins to Dogma. I will miss these creations of mine, however. (sniff)

DANGER ZONE:

Like I said, NGling was toast. And, as I also predicted, helldoll81 was next to join him. However, XwaynecoltX took my advice and got some blams, and he just barely hung on near the bottom. Violet-AIM and BeFell? Yep, called them being in danger, too. In fact, I was 4 for 5 (since ~X~ is still here, thankfully!) in the prediction department. As for who replaced them... well, I saw SPG and Nijsse coming, but I thought Hermannator and jonthomson were the other two who'd get on. BVBG and jujmcint took me surprise (but then, it's fairly easy to surprise someone in a 2 month period, I suppose). Again, since I won't be updating this list anymore, it seems kinda pointless to make predictions for "next time," but I WILL say that Violet-AIM was very close to remaining on the list... and Rabid-Echidna would have made it had SPG not. He'll be on Dogma's version of this list at some point in the near future.

It's been real fun doing these lists for you. This one, in particular, was started on July 26th, 2003... to supplement, balance, and oppose the saves list. Thus, this topic was created that day, one year ago exactly. Over the time since then (a span of 366 days due to the leap year), I have posted 27 updates of the Top 50 Blammers List. I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have. One last time, a few of my notes about this particular update:

41 rankups this time, compared to 38 and 51 and 7 and 21 and 12 and 6 and 11 and 7 and 14 and 16 and 4 and 8 and 6 the last thirteen times (total of 242 for the blammers list!). 29 are on both lists, the other 12 are only on this list.

The amount of non-doublelisted people has grown from 12 to 13. Coulda been a lot worse, really. We've entered a period of time not unlike how things were a year or more ago, when there was an abundance of people only on one or the other list. I thought those times had passed by half a year ago when it seemed the trend was towards everyone getting on both these lists AND the combined b/p list... but all things come in cycles, I suppose.

Just like in the May update, I have only noted the rank-at-the-time-of-ranking-up for Brigadier Generals and above. Congrats to everyone who ranked up, though. There was a fair amount of it, but perhaps not as much as one might have guessed since this was the absolute longest period of time between updates of these two top 50 lists... and yet we didn't break a rankup record (that was in the spring).

As for who replaced them... well, I saw SPG and Nijsse coming, but I thought Hermannator and jonthomson were the other two who'd get on. BVBG and jujmcint took me surprise (but then, it's fairly easy to surprise someone in a 2 month period, I suppose). Again, since I won't be updating this list anymore, it seems kinda pointless to make predictions for "next time," but I WILL say that Violet-AIM was very close to remaining on the list... and Rabid-Echidna would have made it had SPG not. He'll be on Dogma's version of this list at some point in the near future.

Seems like It's a lot harder to get protection points these days. I started B/P'ing not very long ago, and I get points from voting more then 95% of the time, yet I have a really 'bad' blam-save ratio compared to most people on the list.

gfoxcook, since I'm not that much on the BBS I forgot to congrats you on becoming NG's top protector! Awesome job man, 16250 saves is just amazing!

Heh. Well, when I was updating the totals from 60+ days of activity, I couldn't tell that you were on a blam break, so... in the larger scheme of things, it was but a blip, I guess. You got enough to make it on, that's what counts.

And I'm glad you were able to be a part of my final update, though I only wish Rabid was able to as well. Ah well, he gets featured on the VP list I update, at least. #;-}>

You were around #60 on this list (well, OFF this list technically) when I last updated in May, so it was nice to see you made a big move not only to #50, but well past it. Great job on the blammage, not that it's been that hard these past few months (hell, these past 10 months... seems like August 2003 was the last REALLY good month for protects more than for blams).

Like I just said, yep... it's been a loooong dry spell. Maybe a slight break around Christmas when we got some good holiday themed flashes and things were good. Every now and then there's a good morning or evening or even full day... but seldom is there a great week for protects anymore, and certainly not a great month... like there used to be a year ago and further back. Ah well. I built a strong base of protects back then... had 6000 by July 2003. Gotten 10,000 more since then. So it's possible... but getting more than 1000 a month is damned hard, and I don't believe anyone's ever averaged that much except perhaps fixit at his robot-y finest.

Thanks a ton for appreciating the achievement. With your B2S%, I know you realise how difficult it can be to excel in the save area.... heh... it's a bit ironic for you to be congratting me here in this topic instead of the other one where I'm actually ahead of fixit, though. Still just #5 on this one... I am STUCK, no thanks... er... rather... THANKS to Crono and Joe's massive blamcounts. And now I'm Mister Odd Number Champion with #s 1/3/5 on the save/combined/blam lists. #;-}>

Currently you are. At the time of posting (both gfox' and mine) you were 52, behind Violet-AIM. She's at 8600 with a slow gain, so should not be an issue to "pass you back." Although it's certainly possible for you to pass any of the others along the way,
kospas is inactive and at 9125 blams, so is probably your best bet as your target to make it on.
