Grats on the rank-up. Make mention of things like that over in the level up Lounge and you'll get a round of grats. Someone might even buy you a shot while you're there ;-) For the list, I usually get to those as the time for the next update comes around, but thanks for the head's up ... As wimsty mentioned, everyone is lower case. It's a carryover convention from back before the User Lookup feature was disabled. When posting the list here, there was simply no way to include links to profiles in an update as the character limit was already an issue without tacking in the link codes as well. By keeping things in lower case it enabled myself and others to easily differentiate between I,1, and l; 0 and O, etc., when we wanted to do a lookup.

It's been that way since the list started and there's O (or 0) chance I'm going back through l,O0O names and changing them all to reflect the fact that some people decided to capitalize particular letters in their user name, myself included. The Rank-up listing is the only place where I'll bother with it, so you'll see it there as you've chosen to do it in your profile when you cross 2k total. Rank-ups are also the only time I'm really bothering with people's name changes on the update lists ... TheJoe's recent change being a special exception ;-)

Just a head's up. I may have come up with a workaround on the Fan Net issue. Have to wait until Wednesday to know for sure, but if you're coming in through my sig or profile links (or bookmarked to the home page) you'll see the vote swf. Give it a click and we'll see how it does.

I noticed that. I thought it was either intentional, or you couldn't be bothered fixing it up.

More like I didn't notice it until I got it on a black background. Trouble I actually had was that the first layer was still visibile underneath so I didn't actually notice that the fixes I was doing weren't working. The "fixes" ended up being applied 9 layers below where I though I was. Once I noticed that, it took all of 5 seconds to get it where it was supposed to be.

The names themselves are links, so you can click on them and get a profile. Because of that they only get the style settings for links which are, unfortunately, a universal change (all used links do this, hover does that, etc.) and override any font color coding I do. If mine is in light green that means you've looked at my profile sometime within the span of your browser's history settings. The darker blue is for links that haven't been used in that time frame. An active link is a really bright beige and hovering over a link underlines it and changes it to the dark blue of an unused link.

On another note, I need someone who hasn't voted on the Fan Net thingy today to do a test for me ... I've already voted today so I can't tell. James sent me a .swf that might work from the frame but I won't know until I can test it out. I've disabled the interim page I made, so just click the link in my sig and click on the vote panel on the left frame. Give a shout before and after you do, so I can check the numbers to see if it's working. Thanks much =)

I was able to initially, but I've not been able to since roughly the start of the month. My ICQ is 53948372 and I'm on at the moment. Don't have AIM.
