It sickens me that I JUST COULD NOT get ANY points when an entry's score is between 1.40 to 1.70 this week. When I vote 2 or better, the entries get blammed; When I vote 1 or 0, they are protected. The last 3 close calls have been ABSOLUTELY UGLY for me. I voted 2, 3, and 0 on each of them respectively. But the first two were blammed with scores of 1.55 and 1.60 (WTF?!!!) and the last one was protected with a score of 1.67. As a result, I ended up getting NO POINT. >:( Events like that have got my nerves lately as I lose 15-20 points everyday like that. I thought that I was good at voting for entries that are right on the edge, but that was not the case anymore.

To make things worse, the portal is filled with entries that lay RIGHT ON THE EDGE of blam/protect and I end up with losing all the points because of bad luck. I beg flash makers will submit superb or rubbish entries so that I will not have a hard time voting. Unfortunately, the more I want an easy time, the morem those "right on the edge" entries are coming. >:( I am here to ask you how I can get points when it comes to a close call. What's your stregedy of voting on those kind of entries? I am really fed up with losing points now. >:(

My strategy is to vote according to how I feel about the entry, not according to whether or not I think it will pass.

I don't vote zero on entries that show effort and deserve to pass, even if I don't personally *like* the entry, but otherwise, I usually vote with my heart, and almost always, I end up getting the points. Borderline entries are great because you have the chance to influence the outcome with your vote, so vote how you feel, and if you vote "wrong", at least you can know that you voted with your heart, not according to whether or not you might get a stat point.

I know, I know. Silly idea, right?

Dont worry, that happens to me all the time, just try to vote in the extremities, like instead of a 1, a 0, and instead of a 2 give it a 4 or 5.

lol, I outgained Phantom and Hemlok this week, that was a surprise. ;) I have to admit that I was very lucky as there were always at least 20 UJ entries whenever I logged on. :D Anyway, it was uber cool to get more than 80 points per day. (Just missed the 666 marker, I was planning to hit it earlier today...) Nevertheless, I am very pleased with my gain and I love to climb up on the rankings. ;)

Hm, only went up one place this week.
That's cool I guess. Only about 380 points, wouldn't expect to go up that much. I'm at this weird spot, where all I have to do is get points to pass the group of inactive people in the next like, 10 spaces ahead of me :o

Ranks gained goes by B/P rank in your profile, whereas the list is sorted by total number of B/P points. You hadn't passed RoweNuts by the time the profiles updated on Sunday. Also, harryjarry passed you, turning your 1 for passing yaya12 into 0.

It's known that he has a high amount of B/P, enough to place him in that area (It's D0GMA's alt incase you didn't know ;)). Since everyone else that high up has a profile, you can work out his rank since it's the only rank in that area which can't be viewed via a user's profile. As for the number, it's just a guess. But it's obvious he has less B/P points than the person ranked above him, and more than the person ranked below. So his total number of B/P points obviously lies somewhere between those two users' total amount of B/P.
