Hey everyone. Long time no see.
Yo. A lot of people in here seemed to be wondering what the hell was up, it was an entertaining read all at once on New Year's Eve for me, since I wasn't actively reading everything in here the whole time. #;-}>

I moved the Pentalist from Saturday to Sunday last spring, but I moved it back from Sunday to Saturday in October, I believe. I don't like updating the list late on Sunday night and feeling tired all day at work on Monday.
Mondays where meant to be hated. Contribute.
Mondays are bad enough already. No need to contribute any further badness.
I'm a customer service rep in a fortune 500 company that provides services to companies that prefer service 24/7, and we are closed on Sundays and circulate who comes in on Saturday mornings, so... Monday mornings are naturally the time when most customers are the most impatient due to already having waited longer if they needed service since Friday night or Saturday morning or afternoon or whenever... that, and Fridays when they get told they will be serviced on Monday morning, not that same day or Saturday. ;_;
In short, at my job... Mondays and Fridays = the days with the most potential to be hellish. Tuesdays = super slow and easy. Wednesdays and Thursday = average.
So actually, Saturday was already unofficial stat update day for quite some time.
At least more of a stat update day than Sunday, then. Thanks for explaining, i wouldn't want to go around with my head in the wrong place.
Not realising that I update on Saturday and not Sunday anymore isn't really having your head in the wrong place, I just wanted to clarify because I'm anal like that, yo. #;-}>
And it always was.
You don't say. Well, you can't say i've ever given those topics any repeated visits in my early days. Or later on, for that matter. The first pages, that is.
(gasp) Well, you should read up on some of the list topics... either the early days, middle days, or latter days (or all of the above if you have time... but who does, eh?). Historical research, you could call it.
Man, i do remember the late periods of all the stat topics, especially the NGTL, since that was the only list i was on at that time. I never posted in that topic, though,
Pretty much everyone with ANY stats at all could claim to be on the NGTL if nothing else, yeah. It was the great egalitarian equaliser of the masses. FOR THE PEOPLE. #;-}>
Thanks for the brief history lesson, too.
:::tips cap::: a pleasure.
Today... I should be getting the list ready long before midnight. I hope so, at least, I don't want my New Year's Day celebrations with my girlfriend to be interrupted by the silly ol' pentalist. (wink)
Sex... stats... sex... stats...
Tough choice dude, tough choice.
Well, not necessarily a flat out choice of one or the other. I finished the list at 11:55 PM and then made out with my girlfriend and got drunk and etc. etc. after 12:00 AM, so it was all good. #;-}>

Ooh, I didn't see that. Well, I guess this would move the updates to every Tuesday, then.
I think for your own good that you should move it back to Saturday, based on a four days pace.. I don't think you'd want to sit and update a huuuge list every weekday, when you have school, and/or work to do ay the same time.
I know I'd die if I tried to update the pentalist on a weeknight...

Hm, good point. But it's already late, and I gotta head over to my friend's New Year's party! How's this; for this week's update, I'll do it on Tuesday. (To even out the seven day pace) Then, I'll do another one on Saturday and continue from there. That way, everyone's happy! (I think)
Happy New Year! ^_^
Whatever floats your boat, man. You're the captain of your own list-making ship. Happy New Year to you, too!

It's 2:02PM, Monday afternoon, on the 1st of January.
(cough) Sunday afternoon, don't you mean?
Fuck you.
rofl. happy new year you stupid americans :P
Dude... jokingly or not, there's no reason to be so assholey because 95% of the world is behind your country in terms of time zones. Do the people in Sydney give shit to the people in Perth just because Perth is a bit to the west? I don't think people on the East Coast in America discriminate against the West Coast just because they're 3 hours behind (well, they don't watch the sports that are played on the west coast as much as the country as a whole watches east coast sports, but aside from that...).
It's not America's fault that we're 60% west from the international date line, okay? And think of the poor people in Alaska and Hawaii and the Pacific Islands who aren't near New Zealand or Japan or whatever and don't get to be at the "start" of the day and instead have to be at the "end" of the day.
It's the same sun rising and setting on our horizons, MARCUS. No one can help what time zone they're in. Do you want 100% of the world's population to move to Austrlia and New Zealand and Japan just so we can be as "cool" as you guys? That'd kinda cramp your style, I think.
In summation: You're such a meanie. And a real grinch on a nice day like New Year's Day. thhhhhhbpt. #;-}>

I agree it should be on saturdays, i remember when most if not all were always ypdated saturdays, to follow GFOX's 10k list...
My 10k list isn't the thing that started the Saturdays thing. I'm pretty sure it was my VP list. Or Dogma's list at one point, which I believe was Wednesday mini updates and Saturday full updates.
Or both. Whatever.
I just know that my top 50 lists weren't on any particular day of the week. They could be any day... but my VP list and eventually my 10k list started to be on weekends. At first the quadlist could be on any day of the week, though, so it defintely wasn't quad/10k/penta/whateveryawannacallit that started the Saturday trend in my own listings. Once my VP list was standardised to every single Saturday updates, then I put pentalist on every other Saturday to be easy to update on a 14 day schedule.
