Thanks for the update, man! I remember the days of multi-post BBS list updating (both before AND after I got modded!), so I feels yer pain. Too bad you couldn't squeeze it all into four, though.

Top 6 is looking more and more awesome. I have a BIT of time to enjoy my current spot (not that #3 is anything to write home about), and it'll be interesting to see whether Recon can mount a challenge to bila to take me down from #4 to #5... cause the loser only gets to take me down from #5 to #6 (and since 6 is my favourite single-digit number, that's not such a bad thing to happen, so I'd consider it a favour by that point #;-}>).

In any event, unless Denvish slows down insanely, there's no drama regarding who next crosses the 60,000 mark. It's just what happens from there that I await!

yaya isn't 0/0/0 only because he got 1 save last week (the same day I got two (well, three if you count one from a couple days before)) from a whistled movie being restored/saved, I think.

well you see, there was a huge thread in the general forum started by wade, about how he went onto the Star Syndicate forum and found out they were hacking and using proxies and such (OMFG SURPRISE). so wade posted a bunch of picks, and people praised him and yelled at him. The topic grew to like fourty pages in two days. Although wade never decided to delete J00bie or chrome-, he did decide to delete sevenstar for posting child porn on the BBS. It was kinda his way of making a statement to the SS.

I have the same problems sometimes when taking care of the Regulars List. It's an annoyance having to wait an entire half hour just to make posts you already had ready.

See contrary to popular belief, I DO have a social life. I managed to get invited to a bunch of parties, be able to go (like tonight for example... or maybe it was last night now...) and still be able to get into the top 100. It's all about how you balance it all out. Time management is a nice thing to learn. =)

well vixon, i will be the first to admit that i've got time management issues that i have worked out vigoressly over the last few months. i work two jobs as a teachers aid and and chef, both are passions of mine i'm looking to explore in college. I'm a senior in high school whose bsed his way there and am making up for it now. I'm also a person who is unfortunatey not able to operate for an extended period of time without large amounts of sleep (8 1/2 -10 hours) social life i've been squeezing in. Being a popular nice guy and being able to walk into a party and not get dirty looks is one thing, its another to have time to go to one. Prioritizing: b/ping is a hobby i do in my spare time which has deteriated. And most importantly i wasn't taking a shot at you in any way. i just listed the top b/pers and your name was one of them. I read in your profile that you're a 15 yr old girl(assuming thats true). Unless you've raised yourself with a crazy backround, then you haven't begun to understand the concept of responsibility. So hey i'm glad u can make it to parties when u get a little older maybe i see u at one.

I haven't ranked down since I started b/p-ing for real, which was when I was ranked about 330, and I don't want to start now.

To be frank, even if you get a +3 on every single b/p list update, it's possible you HAVE been passed by someone (for instance, you got a -1 from one person passing you, and a +4 from passing 4 people... for a net +3). It's nearly impossible to go your whole b/p career without getting passed. And back before you get onto the EGRL, you might have already been passed (while sleeping, for instance) dozens of times without knowing because your rank kept going up and up each day and thus you never were the wiser (passing way more people than passed you each day).

Don't mean to rain on your parade, just wanted to point out that somewhat-little-realised fact.

I know that, but a +8 when you're in the top 100 looks pretty awesome. The week after that I didn't gain as many ranks so the +2 didn't make my average awesome, just average ;P

Well just a little FYI, I'm offically retired now, I carefully chose what I voted on for my saves that I needed after the whistle list was cleared so they would not come back to haunt me as it did someone else.

No matter how many points you gain at a time, you still gain. 25 a day is a pretty good pace and you can expect to see yourself on the list sometime soon at that rate.

Ya man, don't trust programs, all they do is quit unexpectedly. Save the page, save life. Which reminds me an interesting story about saving things to tell that happened while updating the list, which was that excel got bored of working and suddenly quit. Now, the thing is, I hadn't saved in a while, so I found myself face to face with an error window of death. Beads of sweat ran down my forehead and my hand trembled. A vein broke somewhere on my body as I sat in my big computer chair, facing the menecing screen that was the computer. Calmly, I moved my mouse over to the big blue button that said "reopen" and clicked it.

The program responed and I half covered my eyes with my hand, not wanting to see what I had to start from again. One by one, my fingers released themselves from my face, so I could see my fate. But then, something good happened, a feeling of happiness rushed over my body as read the title of the excel document in front of me. It read, "NG top 300 list [recovered]." Reacting quickly, I saved the spreadsheet as "OMG YESSSSSSS <3333" and then, after settling down in my state of euphoria, I continued the update.

gfox first off, if you're gonna butt into an squabble and make an attack you are escalating it. If i come off as pompus then think of both sides A your comments will make the pompus kid more pissed and come back and rant or B you take something that is none of your buisness and make it your own(which is no way both sides and i'm writing a terrible persuasive arguement at the moment but read my facts). You also neglected to quote her fully and in her quote as of last night,when i read it i took it as a shot at me.

My post started as a semi apology but because of the fucking terrible stress i've been under it turned into a rant. so maybe if you were half decent at reading in between the lines, as u attempted to do by listing 3 reasons i might of gone off at her, you would of thought of that. But everyone has their moments it wasn't smart of me to let my fatigue get the best of me and take a unnesciary (god dammit i can't spell that word right now) angry tone. your right about the age thing. I've never acted my age and hopefully never will. When i'm 45 i plan on acting like i'm 30 and while i'm in my teans i plan on acting like i'm 25, it fits my goals. and rereading your post for the 3rd time its easy to mistake your tone. maybe u mistook mine. gfox made a mistake? i've read a lot of your posts and lists, it'll be interesting to see if u can manage to come to a understanding with me here, i was wrong and you were wrong. but i think vixen should post and apologize for taking a shot at me. it would be the mature thing to do after all.
