Cool, thanks for the update D0GMA. Looking good for the top 50 by Saturday, pregnancy-permitting - probably knocking dl_monk back onto this list briefly (sorry...), but he SHOULD be back up (overtaking mystboy) by next weekly update.
I thought I'd had a slow week this week, averaging around 60-70, so I'm well pleased with 97/day. According to my calculations, I should rise a rank a day over the next week so long as I can get 70+ a day.

You do realise of course, that I'm only maintaining this breakneck speed to prevent Mr James from 'overtaking' me.... heh... that's my excuse anyway, and I'm sticking to it.

Still a fair old way to go until that gold badge though.

I decided on an '03 Saturn Ion 3. My old car was a '94 Saturn SL2 (Ions replaced the S series a couple years ago) so I'm basically getting the same car for the same price, but getting a better deal this time around. After tax & title, both cost 12k, but list on list one was well over $17k while the old one was listed at $15k. Love them "loyalty" bonuses No lien on this bizatch, so it's costing less that way as well =)

I didn't start snagging stats until ~8-9 hours after the server ran the ranks, so you ended up with that much "additional" time tacked on to this week, which means you'll "lose" it next week. It's unlikely you managed to get 189 votes in that time frame, but it probably had some affect in making our numbers veer.

It depends on how long until you leave. At present, I think only Denvish and Syme are in a position to bump you if given 14 days now. The longer until you leave the more chance for courtday to catch up. If courtday maintains pace, he'll get to 6k in 3-4 weeks. In the interim, dl_Monk, pingpong08 and importracer666 are maintaining slow enough paces that you should not be in jeopardy from any of them, although at least 2 should break into the 50 by the time you return. dl_Monk has a decent chance of having to make rank 50 3 times, which all depends on Syme at the moment.

I run the list. I'm supposed to LOL

Given those extra few days and everyone maintaining their paces, Syme and Denvish will both be ahead of you by large margins. import is either going to be right ahead or right behind you when you return. dl_Monk will be either 49 or 50, right around ppk in either case. pingpong will still be at his present rank but will pass format. courtday will be in the high 50s-60, as will NaziClock (x-death) but behind courtday.

Like I said ... if paces are maintained. Nothing is sure but call those informed estimates. Give a shout when you get back, we'll see how far off I was lol

Dogma advised you to get into the 6100-6200 range before leaving (which you've already done), and I added that getting ahead of skum101's 6282 would make it almost impossible for you to get knocked off the list in two weeks, as it would put more people behind you on the top 50 list than there are fast-moving people between 51 and 70 who might pop ON to the top 50 list (in other words, you won't be one of the chopping block few).

Who are the fast moving people? I think Dogma pretty much covered all that in his replies to you. #;-}>

Anyway, just aim for 6300. If you've got a few days till you're leaving, that should be no problem for you, you've almost caught skum as it is! Good job.

Well according to my figures I'm now on the top 50 (will know for sure in the morning), so I'll just take this oppurtunity to say thanks a lot D0GMA for running this thread - it would have been a lot more frustrating if I hadn't known who was ahead of me. Personally, I don't remember it being that frustrating to get to the top 50, it only took me about 2 months of blamming and saving a ton in between making my first 1000 posts.

But the again, when I got on it, you only needed a bit over 4000 points. Nowadays it's a bit different, isn't it... just about to be 6000 needed for admission.

It won't be too long before 8000 is the 50 slot. Lightning predicted it would happen earlier than I thought, and it looks like he might be right. Praporshchik has already swept downwards to #31. I still remember when fewer than 15 people had hit Praporshchik. Hell, I myself was the 20th Praporshchik.

oh yes, so I am. I thought it only updated at 9 am GMT. That's cool, I'm on 2 of them lists now (#7 Top 50 Rated Artists... no idea how that happened...)

Your profile still lists you as 51 to me, but we know the truth ;) Grats!! You should make Prap in ~4 weeks, presuming nothing ontoward happens on your end. Just keep slogging away.
