What anime/anime movie has a cyborg girl and guy...and I guess near the end the guy and the girl are on something high in the air, and some fan cuts up the boy and he falls off, only to have the girl grab his arm (only limb left) then he falls smiling? I think i saw it in an amv hell.

Reminded me a lot of Miyazaki in look, but I doubt it was one of his.

I find it funny how some people like Ranma but hate Inuyasha. They're done by the same person.

It reminds me of the movie Italian Job, only better.

Battle Angel Alita (A.K.A. Gunm), to my mind.

I remembered the name the second I read that you'd seen it in AMV Hell.

So? Doesn't change the fact Inuyasha was pure shite.

Pfft, you used it for like five seconds.

I used it for more like... A day or two...

Then I went back to the Tokyo Red Hood sig I made, then I changed it to a different Tokyo Red Hood one, because the picture of her on the cover of the fourth book was awesome.

That doesn't change the fact that it was mine and you took it.

Also, I recall bickering about the sig and resident fanboy status ages ago in NG /A/.

Yeah? Well I don't.

I probably have some sort've problem.

So? Urusei Yatsura was also done by the same person. That doesn't have anything to do with how good a series is.

Unfortunately, that pisses Ranma 1/2 fans off. We have to accept that such shit could come out of someone with previously excellent ideas.

Weird thing you go and say Gundam SEED sucked, because in my opinion it is one of the best anime ever. Wing was ok, it's a classic, it's old; it's just not as entertaining as SEED. Serious shit is going on, better battles than Wing had, best music in anime, famous voice actors, etc. I'm not the only one to think so, it won awards.

And you forgot Deathnote, too. It comes second best.

I don't care if it won awards, not everything that wins awards is good.

I disagree with everything you said, was not impressed by the music, found the plot laughable and the battles dull.

I don't care if Wing is old, it's still better in every respect.

And you forgot Deathnote, too. It comes second best.

Hell no.

Death Note started out good, but then got godawful after L died. Shitty ending too.

Whatever. I can't remember one interesting thing from Wing, besides the intro maybe. And the english voice actors were horrible. Oh well, you're the expert.

Death Note was good for the first few episodes, but then around the 25th episode mark, it crashed and burned.

The series could have been so much better if they'd had a little mystery to it.

Say, if they didn't lay out the plans, aims and reasons for absolutely everything right at the start of the series, and left something for the audience to discover, rather than having us groan as the characters spend episodes upon episodes trying to figure out what we already know.

The series probably would be better if it had the police being the main characters, and you only see Light in sequences with the family, and when L is suspecting him, so later on in the series you can discover that he's the killer and be all surprised, and then it can reveal how he did everything.

And of course I'd also prefer it if it didn't have L giving thought monologues all the time, so the audience don't know what he's planning as much.

We could be as clueless as the chief is.

I just gave up on the series about episode 31 or something, but from what I hear the ending sucks.

Fantastic series, but not top-ten worthy.

If I made a longer list, it'd definitely be in the top 15.

I agree wholeheartedly. Especially since the police could have done with more screentime/character development.

Plus, they aren't enough cop drama animes.

I thought about it too, but I'm not one to complain about animes. Each anime has its weak points, and I'm ready to put up with this one.

True, there are times I wanted L and Light to give out less spoilers. But instead you're in the killer's perspective; I find it very original. The bad guy is also the protagonist, something not seen alot in anime I think.

What anime am I thinking of? It stars this kid with a guitar, who was really a weird looking robot with an emotion chip. Later on he finds he has two brothers, and they join him and his sidekick girl friend that seems to be standard for every anime. That's all I remember.

Almost sounds like FLCL with the guitar and robot, but Naota doesn't have two brothers.

FUck you, Naruto is like the Scrubs of anime, it gives a story for each episode that relates to real life. Unlike those other dumb shows. For example, 2-3 years ago, I was fat and the Chouji episode reminded me about those days and it actually touched me to see that episode, other dumb animes like Gundam wing and suck nuts.

also my list of the Animes are...
1.Naruto
2.Bleach
3.FMA
4.Samurai champloo
5.Parinoa agent
6.Afro Samurai
7.Tenjou Tenge
8.Zoids (the one with robot dinosaur thing that was the kids pet)
9.Outlaw star
10.Cowboy bebop
11. Digimon Season 3

Bad:
1.GUndamWing series
2.Pokemon
3.Zoids(all the other seasons)
4.Yu-gi-oh GX

Personally, I think that FullMetal Alchemist is a pretty good anime show. Sure, during the first two episodes, you have no idea what's going on. Then, for some reason, the really begin with episode 3. But besides that, I really can't describe it's greatness. It maintains both seriousness and comedy in the show, good storyline, and just overall a good anime cartoon.
Hurray FMA.
