To all people complaining about venom being dead:
He isn't. He's everyone's favourite villain and nobody in the movie industry would be that stupid to kill him off just like that. There will be some sort of sneaky way that Brock would have lived.
That, or the professor stil has the sample of symbiote which wil go ahead and do weird shit te remake venom or whatever. I could be seriouslywrong though since I never touched a spiderman comic.
Also, the movie was awesome. Hands down.

I heard the director didn't really like Venom, so he would probably be enough of an idiot to kill him off like that. He didn't even have Brock escape or whatever, he had him jump after the symbioite and die with that bomb :/

I think the professor may become The Lizard in Spiderman 4 or something. And I don't read the comics either. The only thing I've done is watch the cartoons as a little kid, and the first two movies!

Just saw it, loved it. I also enjoyed the change to emo throughout the movie, yeah really, because it just fitted in. Venom was awesome, I love his raw so much.

The part about that scene I thought was funny was that Evil Smirk Harry had when he looked at Peter across the street, then a truck passes by and he disappears and Peter's like ":o"

it was they way he delivered the line. and the whole ":O" bit from across the street was also good.

When the symbioite was on Eddie Brock, and he was in Venom Form, the Teeth where giant fangs. But when he had the symbioite reveal his face, his teeth were all fucked up and a sharp. I guess the symbioite is what had the giant teeth :o
He was like a crack baby towards the end. He needed the symbioite to stay alive or something, or he just really liked being Venom.

Having been an avid reader of Spiderman comics for years and reading over hundreds of issues. This movie was horrible.
I've books that were good, bad and ugly.
Don't get me wrong, the first two movies were great. But this was bad.
First off, Sandman was never supposed to kill Uncle Ben and be forgiven for it. The man who killed Uncle Ben was just some average schmo that messed with the wrong guy.
Spiderman is known as one of the funnier heroes, and yet he lacked a lot of humor in this movie. In the comics, the black costume never made him evil or dark or emo. It just make him stronger and more powerful. The only reason Venom is evil is Eddie Brock used to be a jerk.
There were too many scenes that dragged on too long or were unnecessary . Did we really need Harry and Mary Jane making an omelet? That could've been cut.
Venom, he was the big draw to this movie and he had very little screen time during the last battle. It was mostly drawn to the Jack Kirby drawn Sandman Monster that was shown.
To everyone that said Venom is dead... he's not. Rule 29 of Comic Books. If there's usually no body, he's not dead. Harry however is dead.
We didn't need Peter strutting around like an idiot. We didn't need all the singing from Mary Jane. There could've been so much done with this movie but they didn't do anything. I could write better then this seeing as how I have read so much Spiderman.

It was just a quick way to kill off the character. There was no time to pull-out a good death for Venom.

i enjoyed it up until then end....it sorta fell apart for me.
I saw this movie yesterday and thought it was ok.
From the point where he did the gay hitler/fallout boy faggot thing with his hair, to the point where venom takes over the other guy, the film turned really, really, gay.
It was ok before and after though, and i liked how the sand guy got his arm turned to glass when harry heated it up on his hoverboard thing.
By the way, is there any real reason why venom dosent like vibration?

The Lizard will probably be in it. Curtis Connors (the professor Peter asked to help him study the symbioite) is the name of the professor that turns into The Lizard in the comic.
There is a scene in which it shows that Connors was studying lizards in the background.
Director Sam Raimi has confirmed that Sony intends to produce at least three more Spider-Man films after Spider-Man 3, and Columbia Pictures has hired screenwriter David Koepp to write the script for a fourth Spider-Man film.
Dylan Baker also has stated in an interview that he was open to the idea of playing the Lizard in the future SpiderMan 4 film!

I dont agree, but i agree with what you've pointed out. so many uselss scenes added cut off most of the liveliness of the movie. they could have done much better.

I didn't like the movie too much.
The director filled it with retarded scenes that seemed to force the plot foward, like Harry's Amnesia, the De-moleculizer being blocked by a chain link fence in a meadow, the Emo-Peter, the My Chemical Tapdance (lol), and the Knowing-All-Butler.
When spider-man 4 comes out do you think Tobey Maquire will be in it, he said he didn't want to be in it but do you think he will change his mind? I don't really like him as an actor but he does seem like the kind of guy that you expect Spider-Man to be, and by that i mean really awkward

i just saw it today, and it was awesome. i dont know why everyone says its so bad, i really liked it, of course venom should have been in the film longer then 20 - 30 minutes. and harry shoudent have died. bit it was great anyway..

But what was weird to me about Eddie in the movie is that he said he was like, Eddie Brock Jr. and I always figured that Eddie Brock was older than spiderman, and bigger, so perhaps they'll bring Venom back, but... with Eddie's father or something.
It would make a lot more sense than trying to bring someone back who you SAW disintergrate!

It was an ok movie, in my opinion.
I haven't heard anyone complain about how long it was, since it was only about 2 hours. I assume you have some sort of Bladder problem that forces you to unintentionally pee yourself every hour though.

1. Yes, the symbioite influenced Peters behavior. It even controled his body when he slept. This is true in the comics and how he ended up outside that building in the movie. It was taking control and using him for it's agenda and that's why he got rid of it.
2. The scenes of the singing and such were all character development.
3. Butlers are always shown to know all.
4. Eddie Brock was addicted to the fucking suit like it was warcraft wrapped in tobbacco and tied together with the one ring. It was how he defined his life and life wasen't worth having without it.
5. From what I hear the Villians for four with the Lizard and Carnage.
I have nothing against people who can use pot and lead a productive life. It's these sanctimonius hippies that make me wish I was a riot cop in the 60's
I watched this film last sunday and, it was crap, it was not as good as the first 2 and i was expecting much more. It did make me laugh a lot though, especially when he turned emo and started strutting down the street with his little emo fringe. What was also stupid was the sandman apologised to peter for killing his uncle when before he wanted to kill peter. Why didn't he just apologise in the first place instead of trying to kill him, also, why the hell did he forgive him? The spiderman festival was awful and did we really need to see harry and MJ making an omelet?
However, it was pretty fun on the emo bits, where i was the only person in the cinema laughing.
