That's absolutely not flexible? 61 seconds wouldn't cut it?
Nope, the law.. i mean rules are equal for everyone.

long time no see, man :D

Aye, it has been. I'm almost done with my submission for this competition, but my track is 67 seconds long, g'damnit, I have shaving stuff off. Especially beards.

Yeah I know I'm early, but I had already been working on a song for a little while, and cut a part out for this contest. Are we alloud to submit, than after the competition upload the full song?

If so, heres my submission

#1. 250 USD, a Newgrounds t-shirt and stickers!
#2 - 10. A Newgrounds t-shirt and stickers!

- FrontPage spots for the two highest ranked loops.
- A sig-pic with the winners name on it (for everyone to use).
- Top ten submissions will be announced live by radiogrounds.com DJ PsychoGoldfish.

Why is it that when you have a real contest for a Pico flash, there are less places that get awards? And another question: are you going to have sign-up for judges, or are those already picked out?

There's not less awards for this contest, there's more! Previous contest only had awards for the top 5, this here is for the top 10, wit ha 250USD awards for the #1!

I know it might look a little confusing, I was short on space to get it all in one post, so I wrote it like that.

Also, if you don't want to participate, you're very welcome to voulenteer as a judge. PM LJCoffee preferably, he's the head judge and deal more closeley than I with judging issues.

You guys are such pussies. The same thing would happen if KingBastard or ParagonX9, or even Dimrain47 came in here and said, "IM DOIENG TEH COMPETITTIONS LAWL".

You are all scared.

lol

I hope Paragon DOES compete. It would be a humbling experience to not win.

for this contest i'm not making dnb, surprisingly.

it's 133 bpm bassy grime edit-fest eerie glitch stuff with shotgun noises.

i don't know what my "softer" song will be. i guess i'll work that out.

Really? Interesting...

and yea, what the hell is my softer song gonna be like... hmmm

maybe, 133 bpm bassy grime edit-fest eerie glitch stuff with... featherduster noises.

The rules state that "To be accepted in the contest, the loops must have been submitted to the AP during March or April 2007"

so the short answer is:

nope.

At 3/21/07 03:33 PM, JoeyNukes wrote: I didn't get asked to judge again. *frown*

Nobody has been asked to judge yet. I don't want to start getting judges together until we see who wants to compete first. It wouldn't be fair of me to ask anyone to commit to judging and to have them give up a chance at winning a prize.

Of course, if you really want to judge then PM me and I'll put your name on the list. You may or may not be asked at a later date - if someone is not chosen then I'll let them know why.

Thanks guys!

CrossRoad

Sorry about using another post for this, but I have my slow song.

Dont say its stolen if you've heard it before, I took part of a song off my alt and changed it up a little bit, and it seemed to fit the slow aspect perfectly. Although the transitions kinda jump a little, i dont feel like reuploading it...60 BPM ^^

For those who have read through the rules for the contest, you know that you're allowed to submit TWO loops, one "battle style" and one other loop.

What do you guys think is suitable "non-battle" music for Pico-flashes? Personally I get elevator music in mind, or a quite empty, but attitude-ish beat with electronica-hiphop style, like a mixture between sampled beats and fresh synths with lots of attitude to them. ehhh....^^

Like mine? O.o You dont have to answer if it will affect judging rules at all, But i couldnt think of any calmer song than the one I put on.

At the moment, I am not part of the judging crew, since I don't think there IS a judging crew to this point. So my opinion is pretty much as worthless/valuable as anyone elses.

It's pretty difficult to know what people think is "Pico", so I hope to see some comments and opinions about this. It will help both authors and judges to if there's a discussion about it!

That makes one offical and public judge so far. Everyone else who gets the chance to judge are to stay anonymous until the contest is over for the same reason as in the previous MAC's!

Awsome to see you voulenteer MindChamber, you'll get briefed by LJCoffee when we've wrapped up more info etc.
