Wow, this is much harder than just reviewing the tracks. I spent a while today listening to all the tracks. They are all good picks, and I’m sure if I spend much more time on this I would change my top picks again.

VegatarianMeat’s pick is original and unique. It is also an underdog song scoring in at only 3.40 with 67 downloads and 2 reviews. This track creates a good atmosphere of dark energy while maintaining an edgy groove that flows well.

DSMagnum’s pick is short and sweet. It didn’t really grow on me right away, but the more I listened to it the more I began to love it. I think it would be a great pick for a short scene in a Pico flash.

madness49’s pick is dark, fast and changes course through out the track giving it a dynamic feel. The track isn’t too much in your face and might be a good track to have played while Pico is running around the school hallways looking for weapons and items to overcome his obstacles.

DarKsidE555’s pick is your classic epic newgrounds boss fight music. The thing that really turned me on to this song was the high level of quality the guitar lines have, unlike some of the other tracks this style. A good hard “in your face” track for a good hard “in your face” boss fight.

Anth0n’s pick is short, but has awesome build up. The bad thing about this track is that it wouldn’t loop to good. I can see this track being used for an intro scene or maybe the menu of a Pick flash movie/game.

The other tracks were good too, and good luck to the people who picked them! The main thing I has issues with was the sound quality of the other tracks.

Why do you all think Pico carries weapons of mass destruction in his backpack. It's true he often slings guns to destroy many and from time to time makes Rambo look like a pansy, but still, I mean he's not HARDCORE 24/7, I feel you've all taken too much into his actions into context over what really makes Pico Pico.

I mean Scratchin... it's a 5 second clip of a gunshot, WHY did that make it!?

I second Maestro's motion. To be honest...this months contest was fairly disappointing. Yeah ok, treasure hunt is pretty cool but why do we need judges for that? I guess Tom & Co. know better what PICO should be all about.

A pretty late idea but I guess it would have been much better if they decided what entry is PICO approved and what not. I know that they are short on time but if they picked the entries, people would know for sure..."Hey, THIS is some music for a PICO flash"

Well - "scratchin" made it through because it was nominated by enough people to get it through... I got nominations back from 10 people - ONE submission got 5 nominations, EIGHT got 4 nominations (<- scratchin was one of those) and the tenth was a seven way tie, each with 3 nominations.

I mean did anybody look at the lil bugger when you click on contacts in your inbox you see a message of him writing on a large scroll, he looks so damn innocent there :').

I remember playing a pico game where he had to kill this psychic person and had to kill this guy who turned into this large monster and you had to shoot his balls, but still, Pico only did that after the school was ambushed. Before he was sitting in his chair grinning like a drone like everybody else.

I realize that scratching got in because it was nominated by a lot, I question why, not the system.

If I was going to make a Pico flash, I probably wouldn't do it about Pico "sitting in a chair grinning like a drone". I would make it full of violence... just like the majority of the other Pico Flash movies/games. I've always viewed Pico as an icon of violence for newgrounds because thats what he was founded on.

I understood that - I'm sorry if I seemed to imply that you were complaining about the MAC - I know that's not the case...

To be honest, I wondered a little about certain picks and nominations as well but I just dump numbers into a spreadsheet and report the results.

Me too :) - I guess someone thought - gunshot... Got Clip? yeah - THAT's PICO! and besides - to be honest I think that submission (scratchin) could effectively be used as a decent "bad guy" or "boss" theme in a PICO animation or game ... so really I suppose it's not that bad. I think... I guess... hell, I don't know.
