I think that was teh best match, loads of great, unique bots, all trying to survive, rather than killing each other, since most of the time was spent healing :P.
I have a somewhat odd request, could i see 4 defrags against each other, i was wondering what would happen if it had to work out tactics against itself, and use its own tactics against the other bots.
Ferreter, your bot looked good. I don't know why it did not do better.
You seemed to have good aim and a good ability to avoid fire.

Ahahaha, that was royally awesome. Winning is satisfying, I got worried when I was knocked out of the first bracket on my second fight.
The exhibition matches were fun, I'm flattered that everyone wanted to fight me. My favorite, however, was me on Void; He smeared me. Most impressive. Watching 4 of mine was also a little interesting, but not that much.
I have no objections to the FLA being posted; I was getting tired of ripping things out of swfs anyway. And if we do this again, I'd be starting from scratch anyway, so tear it apart.
And, as everyone else, huge thanks to JM for organizing. First code-oriented contest I've ever truly enjoyed, I only hope the predecessors can even compare!

but seeing as i sawvoid win i'm curoius who would of won in that 1v1 as void seems to have a dodge heel tactic that woudl destroy defrag, if you could set that up i'd love you

The problem is that the onClipEvent(enterFrame) continues to execute once the bot dies. So, even though the bots are dying they are still taking up processing power and memory, which is why it runs so poorly. Well, the beginning runs poorly because there is so much going on. Also, I don't know that is what is going on for certain, but, from what I can tell, that is mainly the cause. As for the distribution of the .fla of the battle, I would not mind.

It wouldn't publish, it's AS2. MTASC could optimize it some, but this is a class-less game.
