I totally saw that forklift spot coming in the Daniel Bryan match, but I still loved every second of it. Great PPV. I can't wait to see the two PPV's we see in June.

They should let Hulk Hogan become Hollywood again. He could form a stable and start some decent conflict.

He can't pass the WWE medical, anyway, so he's never going to be wrestling regardless. He's not even cleared to do ANYTHING physical, let alone wrestle a match.

WWE is much more strict on that side of things than most companies.

Doesn't mean he has to wrestle, he can just be the ring leader of a new WWE group and act as their manager. The new kids would take the damage and Hulk would just be at ringside getting heat from the crowd.

Please no.

Stealing heat from young talent so an old man can relive his glory days is not what WWE should be doing.

I don't want Hogan back either, but joining him with some fresh young faces would really boost their status as wrestlers.

Has anyone else seen these Slam City shorts? I recently got a 3DSXL and they were being featured on the video channel. They are pretty silly but fun to watch.

Speaking of that... I haven't been watching WWE or any wrestling at all in a long while. I just fell out of the habit due to it not keeping my attention or interesting me. I heard that they ended The Undertakers WM streak by having him lose to Lesnar of all people.... That kinda bums me out.

Has it been decent at all? Is it worth it for me to start trying to watch again? I know that a majority of the roster is now different from when I stopped watching so I would have a lot of catching up to do.

That is what I was talking about, but some people misunderstood me. Hulk Hogan is a big name and is working for WWE. You might as well have him do something for his paycheck.

Oh, sorry i thought you meant having him in a feud where he would actually wrestle.

Almost two years ago. I'm not even sure which story lines were going on at the time I stopped.

I only got back into it a little over a year ago, and it's been up and down, but it's pretty good right now.

You've missed Daniel Bryan exploding into the most over guy in the company, CM Punk taking his ball and going home, and The Shield debuting and becoming one of the best faction ever. They just had an incredible match with Evolution at the last PPV, and have had a great 4-match series with The Wyatt Family, another really good new faction.

I think I stopped right around when Bryan was just starting his Yes/no thing... Glad he's gotten way over.

What happened with Punk? Did he legit leave or is it just a story?

No idea who Shield or the Wyatt Family are.. And seeing Evolution makes me wonder who is in it again. Is it the core members of the original group or is it all new people?

He's currently WWE World Heavyweight Champion, actually, the belts having been unified a couple of months back.

Legit. Doesn't sound like there was one big thing that caused it, just an accumulation of little stuff. Left after the Royal Rumble, no sign of him coming back any time soon.

They're both comprised of newly debuted guys. The Shield is Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, who all went through NXT. Ambrose was Jon Moxley in the indies, and Rollins was Tyler Black. Their gimmick was, initially, a sort of mercenary group heels would hire to take out their rivals, which they called "justice", but since turning face they seem to be all about ACTUAL justice, rather than it being hypocritical.

The Wyatts are a redneck cult led by Bray Wyatt, who has a sort of insane preacher gimmick. He does superb promos, and has had some of the best matches of this year (his match with Daniel Bruan at the Royal Rumble in particular). The other two members are Luke Harper and Eric Rowan, again, all three having come from NXT. Rowan isn't particularly good, but Harper does some crazy stuff for someone his size. Lots of suicide dives.

Evolution is currently Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton. They're feuding with The Shield, and Flair gave his blessing to them rather than rejoin Evolution, but he's not actively involved with either team.

Rowan has potential, WWE just uses him as the useless #2 big guy of the stable. Honestly, if it weren't for the iconic sheep mask i don't think Eric would've ever gone to the main roster with the rest of the family.

Yeah, he's not BAD in the ring, he's just a bit dull. Just does all the standard big man stuff, which looks worse than it normally would when you're next to Luke Harper who is doing stuff a man his size shouldn't be able to do.

I'm thinking that when the Wyatt Family disbands Rowan will have his time to shine, i predict it'll go; Luke gets more and more over with the crowd (it's already started to show thanks to the waves oh Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeaaaaaah chants he gets), Bray sees this as a threat to his leadership as the leader of the cult, he convinces Rowan to betray Luke, Bray and Eric gang up on him and beat him up, Eric becomes the only follower of the cult, Luke returns a few weeks later as a babyface and confronts both of them, Eric being stronger than Bray is the only one who can stop his former comrade, the two get in a feud that shows off the talents of both large fellows.

So i'm kinda interested to know what's the first memory you guys have of wrestling.

Here's mine: i remember it was sometime around 2005, i used to watch it with my sister but i don't remember any match, what i do remember is Eddie Guerrero was bleeding from his head and in a shopping cart and i seem to remember a lot of green so it had something to do with SummerSlam 2005. This memory actually put me away from wrestling for a few months as i still thought that the matches were for real. I went back to watching wrestling in 2006 and the first match that i remember is the 2006 Royal Rumble.

I may have my memories mixed, i checked the SummerSlam 2005 card and it was Eddie vs Rey in a ladder match so i doubt ReyRey would put Guerrero in a shopping cart.

Anybody out here know about the Eddie in a shopping cart match i'm talking about? I would really like to see it.

I'm interested in knowing your first memories of wrestling so if any of you would like to share them go right ahead.

Foley going off the cell, although I'm not sure where I'd have first seen it. I definitely didn't see it on PPV, so unless it was replayed somewhere the only place I can think of is in the Raw opening titles.

Most of my early wrestling memories are from the later part of the Attitude era. 1999-2002ish. Stopped watching after that and only got back into it last year.

Wrestling was in a boom period then, everyone watched it, then it fell out of the mainstream and I guess I was just one of the many who drifted away from it.

WWE has done many things that the fans have not embraced including, promoting John Cena, the Miz, and the diva division.

The fans enjoyed John when he was a fresh new face and he didn't hog all the spotlight, the last time he recieved a decent ammount of support from the whole (or at least great part) of the audience was when he returned on the 2008 Royal Rumble.
Miz is meh, he could've really used better tweaking before being pushed like he was but (i'm not sure if anyone on this thread has mentioned it) he's a prime example of how to succed in WWE, start from the bottom, don't complain much, do all you can to get over (you can't tell me you didn't hate him at least once when he was a heel) and you'll get on the top of the food chain eventually.
The divas division, can't really just blame WWE for this, it's hard to give too much attention to the division when your wrestlers are crap.

Oh god I couldn't tell you really. I have too many memories from when I was a kid to say which would be my "first".
I remember the Hell in a Cell match between 'Taker and Mick Foley.
Undertaker vs. Kane the first time at Wrestlemania.
DX storming the set of WCW in the tank
The "Montreal Screwjob"
The whole thing with Vince and Steve Austin. Especially the part where he was in the hospital with a "broken leg" and Austin came and beat the crap outta him and start beating on his leg.
Kane's debut back in '97
The World Heavyweight Championship belt being "established"
and so on and so forth.

I prefer Evolution with four members instead of three. Since there is no Ric Flair, they should have Hulk Hogan join.

I don't know, I hadn't thought much of him in either gimmick previously, but his promo on Raw was pretty solid.
