Anyone have some last minute Backlash predictions? I heard that they just announced the plan to go in a different direction. They do not want to give RVD the WWE title now just to watch him needing to dorp it quickly once ECW starts back up. So Shelton Benjamin will win tonight's match and take the MITB opportunity.

I just made this up because it's something that I wish would happen. Nothing against all of you ECW marks, but I just think Benjamin is twice the wrestler that RVD is.

Backlash predictions

Umaga defeats Ric Flair (just so Umaga can get his record started. WWE always gives superstars in their first match a win...or at least I think they do).

Masters vs. Carlito. who cares. I'd say Masters (just because Masters has not won a title...yet.

Women's championship (Mickie vs. Trish...or Trish vs. Mickie...or Mickie vs. Mickie...or Trish vs. Trish). WHO CARES! I'd say Mickie just so Trish doesn't have another two year reign.

Kane vs. Big Show. who cares...allthough with Kane trying to promote his movie, I'd say Kane wins.

Winner take all (RVD vs. Shelton Benjamin, Intercontinental Championship, Money in the Bank). RVD just because I reard rumors that RVD might use his ladder in the bank at ECW One Night Stand.

Divine Intervention vs. McMahonism. I'd say Shawn Michaels (and God) win(s) because McMahon has embarassed Michaels too much. Allthough Michaels won at WM, so maybe McMahons win (hopes Michaels wins since that's what I said first)

Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship. HHH wins it. I know, it's going to be messed up seing HHH as a face champion...but let's not forget that HHH cut off Cena's five knuckle shuffle and hit Cena with the Pedigree to pick up the win. I mean If HHH was truely face he would've let Cena drop the knucks, but HHH is a face with heel mannerisms (kind-of like Angle)

The only person who I'm sure will win at Backlash is RVD. The other matches, I really have no idea. Every PPV we keep thinking that it might be the end for Cena, but then he keeps retaining, so I'm not gonna call that one.

Also, I wouldn't put it past the McMahons to make themselves look more powerful than God.

anyway, I didn't buy backlash, because my mom wouldn't let me, because she had already bought me LockDown (Which I'm sure was much better than backlash, anyway)

I'll just scour the WWE website later or tomorrow and get the after-math report (I call it an "after-math report" because I'm sure it'll be a DISASTER). So, This means the "Redface Best Match Of The Night" award will just have to take a vacation. whatever, I look forward to Sacrifice, Judgement Day, And One Night Stand; I'm sure they''l be more worth my money.

Well, I am not going to post a thorough recap just yet because I am still stunned by the suckiness. Backlash was complete trash. Anyway, here are some quick results.

Carlito def. Masters via pin.

Mickie James retains via DQ.

Big Show and Kane went to a no-contest because Kane was hearing voices again and Big Show hit him with a chair.

RVD def. Benjamin to capture IC title.

Umaga def. Flair via pin.

McMahons def. HBK and God thanks to Spirit Squad intereference.

Cena def. Edge and HHH via pin on HHH. HHH beat everyone down with a sledgehammer after the match and unleashed quite a few DX chops. (as did HBK during his match)

MAY 19th Ah Um the match ended in no contest or like that.

I thought this would be the match of the night but it was to slow and a Raw match. Rvd won by frog splash and vandaminator.

God as a spotlight, Vince went overboard healling Candice by grapping her boobs and dry humping her. Shawn had the match in control most of the time. Vince and shane were both on a table and shawn jumped off the ladder into the SS. Then SS did the 4man lift and shawn broke the table. Vince won.

Naw HHH is having a new family so he wont get it. A fairly good match. HHH worn the crimson mask. Cena won by a stupid roll up bridge by blocking the pedigree. Thank goodness Edge or H didnt tap out to the fucking STFaggotU.

If you missed the ppv be glad you did because it sucked.

Damn, it looks like we are going to have to endure Vince claiming he defeated god. Nothing really spectacular happened tonight in my opinion.

From what I'm hearing, I'm glad I'm too poor to regularly afford PPV's, lol.
I'm also not looking forward to Vince ranting about his own greatness tomorrow night when people could actually be wrestling. If he does, I hope he gets even louder "boring" chants than last time.

ugh by looking at the results I'm glad I didn't order Backlash. At least RVD and Carlito won as they were the only two I was really rooting for.

Yeah I know, and i'm not looking forward to that. But I am however looking forward to what RVD and Benjamin do, as well as Carlito.

They may start promoting ONS soon as well. I can't wait for that PPV, I wonder who else they have gotten now.

Mick Foley will return to Raw tonight as the guest in "The Cutting Edge" segment.

It is very possible that this may be the start the ECW hype.

Time for some news regarding both Joey Styles and Jim Ross this shouldn't come as much of a surprise.

According to backstage sources at RAW, Jim Ross is set to return to RAW full-time next week on RAW. The storyline for his return will be revealed tonight.

Joey Styles is scheduled to become the full-time announcer for the ECW brand.

Expect major ECW storylines to begin tonight.

This makes sense Styles has had backstage heat because of the way he calls matches so bringing back JR will be good and Joey can go back to do his real job and that's being the voice of ECW.

That's good...I missed JR. Styles has been a good announcer in his stead, so I'm glad they'll be returning him to his original job.

I've heard at school BackLash was nothing short of horrid. However, I'm Happy For RVD and My boy, Cena for Gaining/Re-taining The Titles.

Umaga and Rob Van Dam won. Chris Masters, Shawn Michaels and HHH lost. Mickie James lost too, but she still kept her title, and Kane wrestled to a no contest. So at Backlash 2006 I am 2-3-2 (2 wins, 3 losses, 2 matches which I won't call a win or a loss)

Raw was pretty good tonight, the best match had to be Kane versus Conway. The main event was pretty good because HHH does a good job at not giving a shit.

That's the best thing I've seen/heard in a long time, in my opinion. Yeah, it part of an angle. From various stories here and elsewhere, Vince is bringing back ECW full time and Styles is going there and Jim Ross is suppose to return to RAW next week. That's what I've read into it.

Bah, maybe I'm just being a dumb "noobie fan" again.

I think the whole Edge/Mick Foley thing may lead to ECW implications. Or maybe Mick Foley just needs someone to help get him back into competitive ring shape. More is sure to unfold in the coming weeks.

I'm not really into Cena myself, but I think even he's preferable to having RAW be taken over by male cheerleaders.

Also, HURRAH for a WM rematch between Foley and Edge! Awesome performance at WM, and while I'm quite certain that the rematch won't amount to it, it should be a good performance nonetheless.

If you guys think for a second that Styles' speech wasn't planned, you are insane. If he was just going off the cuff, they would have cut to a commercial or he would have been bumrushed by security. I think it was great, but still scripted.

The fact that HBK and HHH had their moment before HHH left to the locker room is a definite preempt to the DX reunion. Also if you noticed, Vince may have finally found the way to get Cena some cheers.... put him against the Spirit Squad and have HBK help him out. I think this was the first time in a long time that Cena got a little bit of fan support. I would loved to have seen Kenny win the gold but Raw was still very good in my opinion.

Well, 4-W is reporting that it was a "shoot," but that the basic jist of Styles quitting was planned. So yeah, I guess it was a mix of being planned and unplanned. Styles was the highlight of the night, for sure.

If they really wanted to stop him all they had to do was turn off his mic. Damn if he didn't speak the truth though. God Bless ya Joey Styles, preach it brother! At least JR will be back, but truth be told I wish wwe would make up their freakin mind about who is commentating. The fans didn't want JR to go, they got annoyed with coach and just as soon as we get used to Joey they ship him off too. glad he will be doing ECW since that makes perfect sense.

Other than that Raw was so-so. Decent 6-man tag. The SS are annoying as hell but they have some moves I'll give them that.

The Tag match with RVD was just far too short. I also want may 19th to get here so we can all stop being tourtured by plugs to a movie that will probably suck.
