HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!
Boogeyman vs. Booker T & Sharmell- Handicap Match: Winner Boogeyman
Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James- Women's Championship: Winner and New Women's Champion Mickie James.
Undertaker vs. Mark Henry-Casket Match: Winner and now 14-0 at wrestlemania...UNDERTAKER.
Vince McMahon vs. Shawn Michaels- No Holds Barred Match: Winners is Shawn Michaels. But is it over? As Vince is being carried out he was giving michaels the middle finger.
Candice Michelle vs. Torrie Wilson- Playboy Pillow Fight match..Oh God: Winner
ok, so I am good. I mean like I said in the past if you are a true fan and are smart you can guess what vince will do. i knew taker would win cause vince will milk that until he finds someone who needs a huge push to superstardom and make taker lose. I knew rey would win cause they are doing that cause of eddie's passing and that is wrong to make angle lose just cause you want to give someone a handme down title run. and I know as I post this the cena vs HHH match is on and I know HHH will lose cause vince wants cena to win still thinking cena is a popular guy.
and you people wonder why I bash WWE. that is why I say tna. lockdown is coming soon and I will watch that. wooooooooooo

Saw it coming. The same exact thing happened at WM XIX. Same exact storyline too.
They're running out of ideas lol.
I'm back. Call the Police
Winner of playboy match: Torrie Wilson
Triple Threat Match For the World Heavyweight Championship: Winner and new World Heavyweight Champion...Rey Mysterio!
Triple H vs. John Cena- WWE Title match: Winner and still the wwe champion John Cena!
I do agree this one was crap compared to the past wrestlemania's but some of the matches were good.
hey can i join?
i just finished watching wrestlemania 22 and i thought i'd post this before i went to bed (4:07am here)
wrestlemania 20 will always be the best defining 4 and a half hours in WWE history
but 22 managed to bring back the carnage and greatness of the WWE
i hadnt watched wrestling for a year since the dissapointment of 21.
but im so glad i booked this.
i've been watching wrestling since 1995, and like i said, besides 20, never have i seen a more entertaining match-up.
i would be happy to post the results here if you want.
if not all i'll say is that eddie would be proud of rey :)

The meeting of the Gods & Goddesses, were YOU at the London meet 2009?
I had a grand old time watching WM22, despite some outcomes and minor complaints.
Things I didn't like included John Cena winning, and the Triple Threat being too short. Rey Mysterio being the new champ is wonderful, but that match was WAY too short. And why the fuck did they have that BEFORE the Playboy Pillow Fight? Christies. Also, too bad that HHH won. The crowd was giving him tons of support. The MITB match could have been longer, too, and Boogeyman? Peh.
Good things far outweight the bad, though. The tag team champs match was so-so, but a good choice for a starting match to the PPV, just to sort of 'get it over with' so to speak. A good way to start WM22's momentum. They immediately followed it up with MITB to really pump up the crowd. We saw some great ladder stunts by RVD and Shelton Benjamin in particular. Though short, it was a great match with an ever better outcome in RVD winning.
Benoit v. JBL was a decent match. JBL is a pretty entertaining heel champion, so though we didn't see anything great from him tonight, we should see a good feud starting in the fallout. And lackluster though Booker T and Sharmell v. Boogeyman was, the scene right before the match was pretty hilarious.
Speaking of hilarity, how about HBK v. Vince o'Mac, eh? Funny stuff. Vince could never even build any momentum whatsoever, so the whole deal was a giant comedy-fest, pure entertainment. Neat things happened such as Shane joining the Kiss My Ass Club, the clever use of handcuffs on Shane and the kendo stick beating afterwards, and the big 20 ft. ladder elbow by HBK. What a squash.
I dunno how you guys think the Hardcore match stacked up with those of the past, but the flaming table spear had me sold. And Foley still smiling after the match despite his loss made it all better.
The crowd really made the matches good during the Women's and WWE championships' matches. Mickie and HHH gained tons of fan support. Having a cute, busty psycho women's champion will be most wonderful. Listening to the crowd during the WWE championship match was the best part, sadly, but it was quite funny. When HHH and Cena took turns punching eachother, the crowd would go "YEAH" and "BOO" alternatively.
The Triple Threat, despite being unreasonably short, was packed with inventive moves. One such example is the double-german suplex, with Angle throwing Orton over while Orton throws Rey over. Rey got the worst of it, no doubt. Little fucker got some AIR. Also, grats to Rey for being the new champ. Way overdue, if you ask me.
P.S. I noticed some old DX references in the PPV, but I know pretty much nothing about them. Can anyone recommend a link with a good history of the DX?
obsessedwithwrestling.com has a pretty good DX history lesson. I loved the DX references. HBK and HHH both did their old school crotch chops and that was great to see. I am really interested to see how the storylines will go on Raw now with Cena retaining and getting the loudest boos of the night. He may start of the show with his heel turn by cursing out the crowd. I really enjoyed WM this year and thought that the Edge-Foley match pretty much stole the show.
I just had to come on and say, I knew it. now I am going to jerk myself off with pride cause I knew cena would win. Imean I have wgo and I am going to sleep well tonight. Iwill talk to you guys soon
First things first: Dangan you are # 196. Welcome!
so let me get this straight if I can:
Tag title match-Show/Kane
MITB-RVD
US Title-JBL
Booker/Boogey-Boogey
Taker/Henry-Taker
Womens title-psycho chick
WHT-Mysterio
WWE Title-Cena
Pillow fight(Who cares?)-Torrie
HBK/Vince-HBK
Foley/Edge- Edge
that about right?
so Cena got the loudest boo's of the night huh? ...lol hey wwe, your super cool face is getting booed out of the building.
So from those who saw WM, what was your favorite match? I'm interested about the Edge/Foley match and the MITB match (which I'm glad RVD won)

The No Holds Barred, MITB, and Hardcore matches were all really good. Hardcore had the most painful things and the best single stunt, Edge spearing Foley out of the ring and onto a burning table. Edge also got tacks in his back, and he was shaking all crazy-like after he won.
No Holds Barred was just really funny. HBK wailed the shit out of the McMahons.
MITB had the best overall collection of stunts. Benjamin bounced off of a ladder resting on ropes and landed on 3 other guys, Flair got superplexed off the ladder and almost had to quit the match (he came back though, but man he's too old for this kind of stuff), RVD drop-kicked a chair into Lashley in midair, and also splashd Finlay from the top of a ladder, and also pushed Hardy and Benjamin's shared ladder off of the ring, which is how he won.
Anyone else think that the HHH entrance and the end of Conan the Destroyer were remarkably similar?
The Only...and i mean only good thing about HHH losing is that RVD has a chance to beat Cena for the title, where HHH does not share power.
He'll win the title back in a month, wait and see.
I've been thinking about joining this club since I watch wrestling quite a bit and could have some people to talk to about the goings with other people than the two other people I know that actually watch wrestling.

You know what, it actually did kinda. Not to disrespect either of them, but they both looked pretty rediculous when they came down to the ring (Cena with the tommygun was kinda cool I suppose). I hope that the music they played for Triple H isn't going to be his new music from Disturbed. I like his music he has now better. :(

I suppose it does, but Triple H will somehow get his hands back on it somehow someway
He'll win the title back in a month, wait and see.
I didn't know who you meant here, so I'm going to assume Cena. I don't think they would give it to him anytime soon if he lost it because the crowd is getting upset/tired of seeing him with the belt. Lots of people have started booing him and even at the indictment ceremony to the Hall of Fame people were booing him pretty hardcore when he indicted "The Fridge" from what people say. Just my opinion on that.

Edge vs. Foley was the best match in my opinion. There was a ton of barbed wire and such involved. My second favorite match was HBK vs. McMahon. HBK hit Mcmahon with everything. Vince didn't even try to block a hard chair shot that busted him open. HBK then climbed to the top of a ladder and did the flying elbow on Vince through a table. But just before jumping off, HBK did the DX crotch chop. HHH did the crotch chop as well during the Cena/HHH match. Overall, I was very pleased with the show.
Y'know, I do recall Kip James doing the Crotch Chop on TNA most recently. And now HBK and HHH are doing the crotch-chops too. Is this some sort of sign? O.O
WTF the two main championships i didn't want to switch hands to rey doesn't even deserve it. he doesn't even qualify as heavy weight... and cena retaining it? wtf!!
PowerPrower you are # 197, welcome to da club!
I'll probably rent WM when it comes to DVD if nothing else just to see the Foley match.
And both HBK and HHH did DX taunts huh? Could be nothing.. then again weirder stuff has happened.
With the RVD MITB win, suddenly him challenging for the title at ONS is a bit more realistic.

Hey man, I think it's about time I came back here...and made my Wrestlemania predictions since Wrestlemania is TONIGHT!
Playboy Pillowfight: Torrie.
Women's Championship title match: Mickie (aka. Alexis)
Money in the Bank Ladder match: Ric Flair
2 on 1 Handicap match: Boogeyman
Casket match: Mark Henry (as much as I hate to say it, boo)
Hardcore match: Edge (if he beats Foley, he gets a huge push)
World Tag Team title match: I say Carlito and Masters. What have Show and Kane done (besides decimate Smackdown)
United States Championship title match: The wrestling...god. J...B...L
No Holds Barred match: I say Michaels wins...and after that victory you will see Michaels retiring sometime this year...maybe next.
Triple Threat World Heavyweight Championship title match: R...K...O (I wish Rey would win it. Rey winning the title would give Frogman a push)
WWE Championship title match: The king of kings returns to his throne. He's been off it for WAAAAAAAAAAY TOOOOOOOOO LONG!
Torrie won, Mickie (Alexis) won, Ric Flair lost, Boogeyman won, Mark Henry lost, Edge won, Carlito and Masters lost, JBL won, Michaels won, RKO lost, HHH lost, thus making my Wrestlemania 22 record six and five. Hey, at least I got more than 50% right.
If you don't like green, then you don't like me. If you don't like me, bite me. And if you don't like what was said right now, then GET OUT OF THE DARK WATER WORLD!
Favourite Match: HBK vs The Chairman - Never in my 10 years of watching wrestling have I ever seen someone so brutally owned. I don't think landed a signle shot on Micheals after hitting him with a belt a few times. HBK was just enjoying himself.
Biggest Disappointment: HHH vs Cena(c) - What the hell, man? Cena REATAINS!? Son of a bitch! Anyway, tehre is some good news. The poster for Backlash shows Triple H "returning to the throne" so he may win the title there. At the same time, a commercial for Backlash has John Cena saying "I take back what's mine." I got a feeling we may be seeing RVD(c) vs John Cena vs Triple H for the WWE title at Backlash. Just a hope anyway....
Biggest Surprise: Kurt Angle(c) vs Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton - Wow, Rey Mysterio is the World Heavyweight champion? I had my miney on Randy coming out on top. Anyway, I'm very happy Rey has become the champ. He deserves it!
Notes:
* Both HBK and HHH were doing the DX crotch chops. This actually disapointed me. I was getting live play by play of the event, and one posting said that HHH had gone to get a sledgehammer after doing the crotch chops. I was HOPING that HBK would come out, stop HHH from using the sledgehammer, then superkick teh shit out of Cena, allowing HHH to hit Cena with the sledgehammer, then the pedigree and get the win. So much for DX coming back.......for now!
* A LOT of the results from last night happened at the last minute. McMahon kept changing who he wanted to win in the World Heavyweight Championship, WWE Championship and United States Championship matches. The rest were pretty much set in stone.
* With Big Show and Kane victorious, look for a possible fued between the two in the future.
At 4/3/06 08:40 AM, -Mitsubishi- wrote: * With Big Show and Kane victorious, look for a possible fued between the two in the future.
Sorry, major typo there. Here is what I meant to put:
* With Big Show and Kane victorious, look for a possible feud between Carlito and Masters in the future. Either that, or the WWE Creative Team may want to give them another title shot at Backlash.
I don't like boasting but I've been saying wigger boy would beat HHH for a while... and Misterio wins the WHC title, its ok I guess. But the important thing RVD won the MITB ladder match, could this possibly mean that the WWE has finally realized that the fans want RVD to be champ? Probably not.
On a side note there was a 18 man inter-brand battle royal that was not shown on ppv but will be part of the dvd when it comes out (just like last year) with everyone wearing either red or blue shirts to represent what brand they were on. What is noteable about it is that Steven Richards was in the match, being his first time back in action since October where he was last seen in OVW. Sadly the win went to the guy that no one could lift, Visera won, and afterwards he kissed Lilian Garcia who at first refused then accepted.

Sweet, thanks for the invite! :D
As for my views on WM22, I thought it was a pretty good one overall, but there were a lot of curveballs that I didn't see coming. From what I heard, they changed the outcomes of some of the matches around 5 or so times before they came to some of their conclusions. Why though I have no idea. Some twists were minor, but one of the big one was Mysterio winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Rey, a heavyweight? Pffftttt! It was probably best said when one of my friends brought it up last night. It may sound mean to say it, but he probably wouldn't have even won the title had Eddie Guererro not died. Harsh statement, but overall probably true.
The other major one that caught me by suprise was Cena winning against Triple H. I would have thought with the way the crowds had been currently acting towards Cena (a lot upset and booing him) that they were ready to pass on the title to Triple H. Maybe they're going to go somewhere with RVD's MITB match win and maybe sometime after they have One Night Stand this year, he'll challenge at it and win the belt from Cena (maybe) and then have to defend it against Triple H at the following PPV.
Maybe some questions will be answered on their half tonight on RAW and maybe we'll find out were things are going. I'm curious to know what's going on in Vince's head (although it's a little scrambled right now).

Something interesting from WWE.com's match recaps:
"John Cena will long remember this WrestleMania victory, but he may not remember it fondly.
The Cerebral Assassin’s greatest mind game may have been turning the majority of the capacity crowd against the WWE Champion . The atmosphere was utterly electric in this charged, highly emotional environment. And the loudly derisive chants aimed at Cena must have had a psychological impact on the once unanimously popular champion."
It really does seem to be setting up for a heel turn, and I just find the part in bold really ridiculous.
http://www.wwe.com/s..es/14160262/results/
I like the picture of Cena almost crying as well. Thats what you get for sucking balls.
I'm not looking orward to Smackdown though, I must say. the first 15/30 minutes are just gonna be Rey in the ring crying and holding the title in the air to big cheers. Cue Chavo and Eddie's wife to come out and join in the crying party, and most likely Teddy to congratulate him as well. I might try to avoid that part, unless RKO or Angle come and spoil the party.
So what now for Cena? Should we expect him to lash out at the fans tonight and turn heel? Or is he just going to keep on being the face champ that nobody can stand.
You know that Angle will probably come out during Rey's crying festival and make it known that he lost his title without being pinned or submitted.
One other thing, it looked like Masters and Carlito were pissed at each other after the match, this could be interesting.
And finally, for those who didn't see WM... Triple H actually tapped out to the STFU. I honestly think that Cena would ave to go heel from this point. The negative reaction was the loudest I'd ever heard for anyone. It was three times louder than the heat that Vince took. If DX ends up reuniting, my life will be complete.
I did find both HBK and HHH doing the DX crotch chop a bit amusing. I also noticed that people were cherring for Carlito after the tag match everyone wanted something to happen but who knows, maybe something will happen on Raw.
At 4/3/06 11:56 AM, TheNewAgeOutlaw wrote: If DX ends up reuniting, my life will be complete.
I dunno whether I'm posting things that everyone's read from the site, but under the HBK-Vinnie Mac match, they wrote this:
"Michaels sealed McMahon’s fate with a DX chop"
I'm gonna suggest HHH face turn and renuiting with HBK. In my dreams, but still. It all seems to add up, and would fit quite well.
Which I guess is a reason why Vince would never have it happen.
