I'm trying to think of the right idea, but the on-line dice which I can make very easily should be an option so nobody cheats. As for the map, we could travel in groups or individuals, but I am not sure how that would work, same with the monsters appearing and items being found.

I have a very creative mind but my computer experience is quite limited. I wish I could help in the programming department but that's highly unlikely. If you think of anything I can help with SeikenSamurai let me know. I'm on-line for at least another 5 hours.

We are working this in much the same way as a D&D scenario type thing, right? If two or more people should decide they want to embark on a mission as a team, they will be given multiple choice questions as to what they want to do. They both have to decide which to choose. If they cannot reach an agreement, they each roll a die, the one who rolls highest gets their way.

I'm not sure about monsters appearing. Perhaps every certain number of minutes, the two could each roll a die, and if the sum of both exceeds a certain number, they end up fighting a battle. Then at the end of a battle, they roll again.

whatever their combined sum is, decides whether they aquire an item, and if so, the quality or quantity of it. For example:

Combined sum Item Quantity
6 Potion of restore health 1
7 Same thing 2
8 Potion of restore magic 1
9 Same thing 2
10 Armor, or weapon 1
11 Same thing 2
12 Use your imagination Do it again

The available items, and the corresponding sums needed to get them, would be up to the DM.

Damn, that didn't work properly. Hopefully you can still make sense of it. If not, let me have a second go:

Combined sum Item Quantity

6 Potion of restore health 1
7 Same thing 2
8 Potion of restore magic 1
9 Same thing 2
10 Armor, or weapon 1
11 Same thing 2
12 Use your imagination Do it again

That creative mind is a BIG help, regardless of how limited your computer experience may be. Another way that you contribute largely to this, is your very extensive knowledge of these D&D systems, and all the characters. Believe me, we'll need that knowledge a great deal very soon.

Yea that is true, it's what we need is someone like you to guide us in our path.

I have one problem though, in the morning today I had a trojan it affected my system32 file so I ended up deleting the file. Now when I restart my computer, it says it's missing and that is very annoying. If anyone has this file it should be located here C:\WINDOWS\system32 it would brighten up my day if someone could e-mail or send it to me... sk8erpimp20@hotmail.com

Thanks

Response to RPG club 2003-04-25 22:55:27

This file is also called System32 and it is an .exe file so it should look like this and be in this exact location, but in the picture you notice it is missing :(

No problem. I'm just catching up on some topics in the different forums. How are you feeling?

Cool, we can discuss strategy games in a second. I see you've picked up a few blam & save points. Check out the last few pages of the NG News at the top. Tell me what you think?

It's about voting zero on submissions. I don't get it sometimes.

No kidding. I'm neutral but now he's got me thinking about dropping 5's on everything. Watch what happens, people will start keeping crap on the portal and we'll get a another News bulletin saying we're voting too high. Nobody is forcing people to submit their work to Newgrounds. I just don't get it man.

Some people have serious problems, I don't get it either sometimes...

Recon_Rebel, where do you work again? Net Cafe? I know a few people who work at one around my area, they say it's pretty fun.

Lol, not exactly...

About the voting thing. I have to agree on that, Wade does get a little carried away with it here and there. I have plenty more protects than blams, and I do agree with Wade about the stupid people getting their jollys by feeling as though they have power, and voting 0 on everything, regardless of how good it is. On the same note, though, everyone has and is entitled to their own personal opinion, and what they view as a good or bad flash. Wade has to accept the facts that A. The people I described above DO exist, and especially on a site where the average maturity level is that of a 12 year old. And B. Like I noted above, everyone has, and is entitled to, their own unique perspective on things.

I should have clarified a little further on that. I can't tell you where he works, or what he does, as that is his business, and he can tell you if he chooses. I can, however, explain how I think you got the mistaken impression that he works at Net Cafe. Recon doesn't own a computer, so on his free time, he goes down to the cafe to use the one there.

Response to RPG club 2003-04-26 04:31:08

Oh, I never new that. Thanks for the information. About the voting now... What is the point of having Dark Auras when your Saves must be higher then your Blams?? Or that you can't vote 0. I vote 0 alot because I have a Dark Aura and because all I see is shit, what I mean is most people will vote a 2, I will vote 0 not because I don't like the person but because it's pure shit. I need to get to bed it's 4:30 sorry if this doesn't make sense I'm a bit tierd.

I provide security for a biogenetics company. Pretty cool place with some weird shit. _redruM_ is right, I spend some of my free time a internet cafes dropping a few posts & votes. I really want to pick up a computer soon though. Some of the games out there are awesome! I'll be a little busy my next 2 days off as I have to steam clean my carpets (it's about that time), and do some personal stuff like banking & crap. I'll still find time to log on here & there. How are you feeling SeikenSamurai? Are you on the mend or does that cold still have a hold on you?

Oh, that's awesome... Do you see weird chemicals and shit? Any ways, my cold is gone but I still feel a bit dizzy. I won't be on too much today I have a huge essay to write, I think. I can't remember when it was assigned or what I have to write about... These days a computer isn't too much money. I'd personally never buy from a Future Shop, Radio Shack or Buisness Depot in my life. Not after I saw the POS they sold my friend. A perfect machine these days if you want to save money is 512 DDR Ram(2 X 256 to get dual channel support on the mother board), 2.4 + GHz Pen. IIII (Note: I hate AMD's), 40 - 60 GB HDD, GeForce 4 Ti 4200 - 4600 or ATI 8500 LE - 9800 Pro (Do not even look at the 9000 Pro), Any decent sound card would do. That's about it... The MOST you should ever pay for a computer is 1500 CDN.

Response to RPG club 2003-04-26 15:30:18

Wow. Thanks SeikenSamurai, all that info will definitely help. I have a feeling when I do pick one up my on-line time will drop due to games. Somehow I don't think I'll care too much. I think somebody said the game I was looking for was 'Age of Mythology'. If anybody has played it let me know what it's like.

I've played it, it's pretty fun but not as good as AoK. Your Hero's get Auras and Shouts to make allies around you stronger. Also some Hero's have certain attacks to do massive damage to other players and have a bounuss' to all Myth creatures. Over all it's pretty fun. I've been having trouble finding Blitzkrieg because it has only been realised in the UK, but hopfully soon It'll be up for grabs.
