It showcased a few areas, the Main Character, and a brief look at is style of battle.
I like the visual effects used.

Well, DoNW was an escort title (Tales of the World, etc.), and Tales of Gracia is confirmed to be a Mothership (Symphonia, Abyss, Vesperia, you know, the badass games).
Theoretically, it should beat it by a landslide.
Don't let your faith wane because of the intimidating appearance of the Wii.
Remember, Nintendo consoles also gave us Phantasia and Symphonia.

Anyway, Vesperia update.
I did the EX dungeon, whipped the shit out of Kratos, who seemed to chain an unlimited amount of artes together, but no casualties.
I did the 100 man melee with (in this order) Judith, Raven, and Estelle. Estelle gets this awesome costume upon completion, which actually looks great on her, and is arguably the best costume in the game.
I then went to do the 200 man melee with Yuri, and I was tearing through ass faster than a prison fag on steroids in a prostate cancer awareness parade.
I filed through the cameo bosses, even the guy who Mystic Artes EVERY TIME YOU USE AN ITEM, which is gay.
I was down to my last 7, thats right, 193 down.
I was kicking ass, some bug walked up to me and petrified me.
I tried again, but for some reason, I kept getting stunned.
I was at that Item hating son of a bitch, I took two Mystic Artes to the mouth, then OLed lvl 3 and proceeded with what I like to call "Yuri Lock" I did a Shining Dragon Swarm, then they fucking stunned me, again, and Yuri went down.
I was pissed that time.
I'll try again.

time to use a item to resist it knux..yuri's only fail..back attacks...ghost wolf is the only thing that gets you away fast but thats awesome, now i feel like vesperia again.

Every character sucks again back attacks, even the great Lloyd. Yuri however does suck at mobbing, there's Crushing Eagle and Guardian Field, but that's it.
Score 1 for Emil though, he has great mobbing skills, but that's unrelated.

ghost wolf is the only thing that gets you away fast but thats awesome,

Okay, I see Zelos, and Jade, don't know who anyone else is. Is that Estelle's daughter or something?

Flynn seems the most likely, don't tell Sodia.

Vesperia Characters to master: Karol.
That's it, I don't play Karol, but I will at some point.
Yuri is easy to master, his deepest learning curve is getting past the lack of mobbing, he's bad for combos when AI controlled.
Judith is an easy to master girl, and she's still mad fun to play as, but timing is everything with her, she sucks without her skills though, she's bad for combos.
Raven has a learning curve, a deep one, but he's pretty basic down to heart, Raven also sucks without his skills.
Rita is basic, her strike artes a great though, especially Ideal. I turned her into a take-no-shit behemoth, doing over 10k a meteor.
Estelle is like Raven with less strike artes, thats it, she's fun to play as, once you get used to her flow, run up, kick a little tail, retreat, heal/spell.
Repede, basic tales fighter, wish he had more altered artes.

In speaking of combos, I cracked the combo code, and thanks to that I have scored a max hit count of 346 hits.
How do you crack it?
Yuri's free run attack.
Yuri's free run attack takes a downed enemy and gets them back up, so you can continue the ass kicking. Once you get past a boss's super armor and combo resistance, they're helpless.
Except for Khroma, she always super armors and hits like a bus full of fat people. She combos too.
Like Gusios on steroids.
By far the most difficult Entellixia to deal with.
Hate Khroma.....

Tales of Graces has gotten their name trademarked in Europe as well as Japan.
Sucks most of our European members don't come around anymore.

Oh yeah, my rental period with Star Ocean IV is up, and I'll have my impressions when I have more time. Short story short: it's good.

Ouch. Well, first impression time.
It has a fantastic battle system, like the one used in the Tales series. Almost exactly like it. The character animations are awkward and unnatural, with the walking animation being exceptionally jerky. The script is...decent, I guess. At least the cutscenes don't make my ears bleed. The story is passable, it's failed to pull me in. Standard, really. But what can you expect from the first 2 1/2 hours? Whatever, if I had to give it a grade right now, it would be an 8.1
