What was your favorite class? What alignment did you normally choose. What race did you like or dislike? I could ask a lot more questions CHEESE-GOD but I'll let you answer these ones first.
Actually, I'm working on the site, my MSN is sk8erpimp20@hotmail.com :) If you wanna talk.
Hello all. I'm considering joining but all the games you are talking about I have never played! So I guess I would be sort of left out. Oh well, I'll join anyway, eventually I should be able to add something worthwhile into conversation.
1. Mr_James
2. I don't really have one, but I love the Final Fantasy's.
3. So I can talk about RPG's with other knowledgeable people.

Doesn't matter Mr_James. Some of the games mentioned in this thread I've never played. This club isn't restricted to one specific game. I like to divide the games into 2 categories, video & non-video. Have you ever played any non-video RPG's?

What do you mean, video and non-video? What is the difference between them?

Awesome. I liked playing humans with the occasional elf tossed in. Couldn't stand dwarfs or halflings (maybe because I'm 5'7"). My favorite alignments were lawful good & true neutral. Classes, well I really played only 3 and they were (in order) paladins, druids and illusionists. I'm gonna have to search the web for some cool pics to post here (right after I check the portal). Back in a bit!!

video is any RPG you've played on your PC or game system. non-video is any other RPG such as Dungeons & Dragons where you all sit around eating pizza & drinking beer while the DM (dungeon master) describes your present environment. If you have a good DM the game is a blast!
Hello, just dropping by to see what's new and shakin. I see we've recruited 2 new members. Welcome, WheezingDragon, and Mr_James. Also, I was gonna mention the idea of making a website, but I see you've already started one, so that's cool.
Mr_James, don't feel left out, I've never heard of some of these games either. I've heard of D&D of course, but I'm too young to have ever played it. Can't deny that many great RPGs have spawned over our generation, though, so be glad we have those.

the dm controls the weather, monsters etc. anything that the players dont control
Let me see if I can help. You're walking through the Albracan forest, the constant days of downpour have not only soaked your clothes but dampened your spirits as well. You see very little wildlife out today as only a fool would travel in such conditions. The cold, wet weather causes an involuntary shudder to coarse through your body. ** at this point or even earlier you could tell me you're setting up some form of shelter and possibly starting a fire. This would lower the chances of your character becoming sick ** The day grows ever darker and with the decreasing light the dull olive drab of the forest changes to grainy shades of grey. You suddenly notice the smell of roasting beef on the wind. In the distance you hear the approaching sound of thunder, it looks to be a long uncomfortable night. ** again you have options. Do you set up camp? Try to locate the smell? Press on towards your original destination? ** While you ponder these options a very deep growl comes from the bushes to your left. ** Do you run? Draw your sword? ** Start to get the idea? The DM paints a world for you to interact in.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I'm guessing it would largely depend on how imaginative and creative the DM is.
