The Sword of Justice:
The Lost Guardians
Chapter 3 - Illian Tournament
Deciding to think about Brian's story for a later time, you decide to head to the cabins beneath the ship. Breathing white smoky air, you make your way to the thick cabin door, pulling it forwards, as you stare down the thick wooden stairs that lead down into a lightened area. Pulling the door tightly behind you, you make your way towards a long hallway, small objects rolling about in the rocking motion of the ship. A guard standing next to you waves his hand, a motion to be quiet. He leads you to one of the rooms, opening, revealing a sleeping Aaron and Brian, with one empty bed fit for you.
Nodding your head to the guard, you move in, closing the door behind you. Hearing a snore from Aaron, you quietly unclip your belt, placing it under your bed. With your back flat on the bed, you begin to close your eyes slowly. A whisper from Brian sends you off to your sleep.
Don't tell anyone what I told you. Says Velan as he seems to walk on red air, stained with the very power of blood. Aedil appears beside him, droning a deep laugh. Kill them all you fool! They face each other as they begin to glow white, exploding with fumes of evil and hate. As the two white bodies move together, a withered demonic monster, with purple cloak behind his back, laughs, holding a dead body in his arms. You try to strain your eyes hurriedly, trying to see who it is. The first of the details come clear, seeing a trail of golden hair. As the body's white skin comes into view, it bursts into flames, evil laughing.
Why did you kill he?! You raise your bony fingers, from your skeletal body of clear white bone, clenching each fist of white tightly. We can kill anyone you want and it is too late to stop us!
Black worms rise from the ground, almost like the Gola from Elevan forest. They fly towards you, trapping you into place, binding you, constricting you, removing your freedom and life. Air vanishes as you have a look of terror, your face changing to Andrè's. You fall to the ground, shaking, fighting a losing battle.
Get up! Says Velan. Get up now!
"Get up Alex! It's almost dawn!" Brian shakes you on the shoulder as you tilt your head up, giving out a small moan. Opening your eyes, light pours in, making you sit up, shaking your head wearily.
"Eat some of this food!" Says Aaron as he hands you a plate piled with bread and meat. Fully waking up, you snatch the plate from him, replacing the hunger that once filled your body. With a stained shirt, Brian laughs.
"So quick? Take this shirt, I don't think you look too good in that one" With a laugh from Aaron, they leave the room. Quickly brushing your hair back, you remove your shirt, placing on another blue and white one, made of Ithacan fabrics. You pull your belt, sword attached from under the bed, quickly tying it around your waist. Taking a last bite of the one of the bread rolls, you make your way up, quickly rushing to follow your two friends.
As you making your way up the stairs, you open the door, the whole word coming into view. Nothing but blue water surrounds you, seeming to rise high and strong. The boat moves forwards quickly in the cool breeze. In your east, the sky glows a dark orange, sun starting to slowly rise high into the sky.
Aster, Jenti and Pipi already stand near the bow, talking to that blue haired girl. Brian decides to talk to them as you look at Aaron, who stays with you.
"Are you going to enter this tournament or watch?" He asks.
What should Alex do? Why?
1. "I'm gonna enter it!"
2. "I might just watch"
3. "What about you?"
