My best time for a 20x20x20 was around 2 hours, 3 minutes. I routinely did 19x19x19 cubes in under two hours, my best time being 1 hour 53 minutes. Don't have time to do them anymore. Guess I am a reformed loser... :-)
Honestly, it was a lot of fun. I listened to old Gunsmoke radio programs, and simultaneously worked on the cube. Great way to just give into your OCD. :-)
Solving cubes this large quickly does involve learning some new moves, but they are minor variances on moves that work on smaller cubes. You might, for example, do the same move, except that you might move several planes up during one phase, and move those same planes back during another phase. That way, you're moving several cubelets into place with one sequence, rather than one at a time.
I posted a couple of solves to YouTube, prior to getting really fast.
