You guys do understand the satirical effect, right? The fact that you hate what the lowest common denominator seems to like should help you appreciate it.
Of course, the flash didn't need to be there, or so I would've thought. It's obvious that a lot of people want to watch shitty sprite flashes of Mario getting decapitated and lots and lots of penises, but I wouldn't have imagined so many people would receive it the wrong way. It might be that people aren't watching it all the way through. "Is this what you want?!" repeated with frustration at the end of the flash, is central to its understanding, so maybe a lot of people don't get that far, and all they see are decaptitations and penises.
So the reception of this flash is the only thing remarkable about it to me, but I still think that'd be enough. It probably is overrated, aside from that one fact of being so misunderstood. Also, I've always thought that anything significant would overpower anything overrated with time, so we all remember the best movies, games, books, etc., but a lot of things are still considered classics when they don't deserve it. That isn't relevant to this particular flash in any way, but that's my view of all of overrated things as a whole. This flash will probably be forgotten in a few weeks, except for aforementioned and aforerepeated misunderstanding.
