I wouldn't really wanna be a mod. I enjoy the website and all, but between animating and my own website, I just wouldn't have the time to do it efficiently.

I'd like to be a Forum Mod, and as second choice a review mod, since I'm starting to be active flagging reviews and such, and realising that there are thousands of crappy reviews everywhere.

I'm mostly on Newground from 10 AM (would be 4 PM here at Spain) to 4 or 5 PM. I'm more here at holidays, and so on. I know, I know, I'm more active in the Portal than in the Forums, but that's because I can't find interesting topics to post on often, and if there are, I usually catch them late, just like this one, because of the time difference.

I know I do the typical "stupid jokes" many times, and I regret that, but hey, give time to maturity, it will appear eventually :). Nah, I can make good points if I find the topic of the discussion interesting, or being helpful at the Where is/How to? Forum, although there are enough helpful people there already.

Uuh, this is starting to look like an apologize. Not likely to become a mod. Heh.

id be a good forum mod since i spend 3 quarters of my day on NG and i always try to help get rid of spam.
Also when i see spam i report to mods.
If i wasnt sure that some topic was spam or breaking a rule/rules i would ask a mod who was been on NG for a while.
I would also be a good mod because im serious to all posts unless im trying to be funny but i wouldnt do that if i modship.

second i would like to be a review mod. Because reviews are to help the flash maker, not postt some stupid messages.

I'm usually online 10 GMT till 11:30GMT and from 13GMT till 14:30 GMT. Not even noting when logging on at school.

I would be a pretty good forum mod in my own eyes, even so a lot of people wouldn't agree with me. I love a great prank, but even so I can be very serious when I need to. I wouldn't be an asshole though, to no-one. And I believe that's just what this site needs, responsible mods who don't go nasty on everyone.

I would be a good Audio mod because I'm studying music at this moment. I would give everybody constructive criticism and offer help if needed. I wouldn't let through some of the crap that gets through now though.

I use large portions of my time on Newgrounds, and I originally came here for the music. Not only submitting my own, but listening to others as well (I have 350+ songs, that has to show something for my devotion) so my first choice would be an audio mod. I could see myself spending the time to see if submissions are stolen or not, and actually being able to help out the people in the Audio Forum by getting rid of stolen music which they find ever so frequently.
I would love to be a forum mod as well, but I doubt that'd happen ;)

I like the bbs a lot, thats why its my first choice. I love to post on the bbs and also lurk around the bbs. I havent been active for my firsts years on my account, but have been active for a whole year and a half now.

Music is my life, I love it a lot and I could have a lot of spare time doing this kind of job.

it looks fun, mainly. But not my first choice.

I dont make lots of reviews and I dont find it to be a big fun to read lots of reviews and to ban those who dont respect the rules.

I could be a good mod for the forum, as I hate spam and flame wars.

If I had the chance, I would personally enjoy being a forum moderator. I mean, I know that's the choice for most people, and I can't really say my reasons are that much different from everyone else's.

These reasons being, of course, that I am on the BBS quite a bit, and the fact that I believe I would be a good moderator. When it comes to posting, I try my best to post intelligent responses (unless, of course, the topic deserves otherwise), but still keep my responses mildly funny.

Now, that being said, I know there are plenty of people who deserve the position of forum moderator, and (not to sound self-hating, but) i'm fairly sure i'm not an option. However, if I were a moderator, I would try my best to keep the BBS free from stupidity, just like the other mods.

If I had the choice, I'd probably be a forum moderator, it's the main part of Newgrounds for me. Still a student, so obviously I wouldn't be able to spend all day on Newgrounds, but I highly doubt that's expected anyway. My hours are usually anything between 15:30 - 22:30 GMT. Been a moderator on some other small sites, nothing much really, but been a big help to them.

Aside from that, I think I'd be able to be as helpful as possible, it'd also be a good chance to prove to some people that 13 year olds aren't as idiotic as most people think. I know what spam is and isn't, and I'll still be able to post a lot.

But, even though it'll probably never happen, being a moderator would be great, not the excitement of banning people, or having extra privileges, but because it'd show people that 13 year olds can be intelligent, responsible, and respectful of the rules.

At first, I'd like to support XWayneColtX's request as a review mod, he would definitely be a kickass one.

Now for myself :

My first pick would be forum mod as it's the position that would interests and suits me best. I spend a lot of time on the portal, but the board is close second, although it hasn't been the case for the past years (as my post count tells). I think I would have some good strenghts as a forum mod. I'm 19, which makes me older than the average forum user, it generally goes with a little more maturity and patience, which are great qualities for a moderator of any kind. I'm also on newgrounds since 2001, which attests my knowledge and interest in the website in general. I'm very used to boards of all kind and moderated some here and there too. On another perspective, I'm curious and open-minded in general and I try not to be too hasty about my decisions and judgements. I definitely hate to stay in bad terms with people and try to resolve my conflicts whenever I can. I also think my activity time would be a plus (see below).

Of course, I have some weakenesses too. Even though I mentioned being on the site for a long time, I haven't been very active on the board (as my post count tells) in the past years and I can't qualify myself as a "regular" despite my active presence in some specific topics for a long time. I also tend to be a little naive and get myself fooled by sarcastic topics here and there. I might be a little too serious in fact.

The kind of mod I would be with these things in mind would probably be a friendly one, comprehensive with younger and new users, explaining them what they did wrong without giving them the impression they're insignificant to our eyes. Despite being flexible, I'd try to be as strict as necessairy, making sure banned users (users that got topics locked/deleted) know precisely what they did wrong and stay open to discussion as long as it's respectful and serious.

My activity time essentially goes with my school activity time (I study with a computer all the time, lucky me), which means during the week days from 8-9 am to 6 pm. I'm definitely rarely online out of school as I think it would be unhealthy to stay too much in front of a computer. Nevertheless, I would probably spend more time online as a mod.

I honnestly think it'd be a little early for me to become a mod. I'm not a very known user which would weaken my credibility and I'm not active on the board for a time long enough to be fully qualified as a mod. I posted this because I'm interested in becoming one and think I have some good qualities as such. I think it might come handy in time.

Actually, I changed my mind, I hardly ever blam and protect or flag reviews anymore, so i'm rarely in the portal. All my time is spent on the forum.

I think i'd make a better forum mod anyway. Being here 3:30PM - 11:00PM GMT, or 10:30AM - 5:00PM Newgrounds time each day for the last year and a bit has given me a pretty good idea of what is acceptable and what is not. Unlike most people, i'm probably in Clubs and Crews more than General. Even though I do only post in two different crews, I often look at many of the others that are on the front page, meaning I could look out for abuse in that forum aswell, and not just general.

I know i've been quite the spammy user, lots of one liners and the like, I bet my ban count is pretty high too, saying as I used to be banned almost constantly about half a year ago, but I think recently I have started to mature a bit, with only the occasion relapse into stupidity.

Although i'm probably a bit too young for the mod team, I don't think i've seen any mod younger than 16, possibly even 17, but I don't see why me being slightly younger should make that much of a differance.

For a my other choices I would have to say review, then audio, then icon.

I find myself browsing these forums at peak UK times while there are no mods online, and There's always a load of posts that i'd thing "If I was a mod, I'd love to be able to lock or delete this shit".

I wouldn't like to be a Review Mod, nor an Icon Mod or Audio Mod as I spend all of my time on the BBS and virtually none on the other areas of the site.

Personally, I think i'd make a good mod.
Weaknesses would be that I'm often swayed by opinion and would probably become a bit of a power-nazi if given Mod status.

Also, if all the regulars get modded, the forum is then full of just Mods and, for lack of a better word, noobs.

General forum, i'd never post in the topics I lock, i'd always use a robotty ban message. I'd be totally anonymous. Until I get a reasonably high post count, then i'd start making lame/mediocre quips before I lock something.

Forum mods watch over the forums. They can delete posts, topics, and ban users.

Basically your response should be like an essay, stating what type of mod you'd like to be, and why you'd make a good mod.

I would actually like to be Mod because I like the Audio Portal and I like to Flag Abusive Reviews. I guess that's going with Review Mod and a Audio Mod. I have heard that you guys don't have a lot of Audio Mods and I am willing to help out if needed. I would Love to be a Review Mod because I could ban users who makes terrible mistakes and does it on purpose. Also, I like flagging Abusive Reviews so yeah. On the other hand, I would like to be an Audio Mod because I like listening to all the Audio Artist Music and Approve them if there good or not. My Decision on just one would be a Review Mod because I flag a lot and I like to help out Newgrounds and to get rid of the Abusiveness out there.

I can't promiss anyone here will be a mod, but maybe if some of you were brought up in nominations, the info you provide here could give the current mods a better insight on if you'd make a good mod or not. It may also introduce us to users we haven't considered that could make great mods.

If there's one thing I'd like to be here, it's a review mod, that way I could help clear up some of the shit around here, the chances of it obviously are slim but I haven't made an abusive review in ages (with the exception of one recent deleted review, which I now know would apparently be abusive.)

A lot of the time I see some of the stupidest reviews that I just don't agree with, then there's just downright stupid ones that make no contributions whatsoever, the latter is what I'd delete, and obviously, abusive shit.

I'm not asking, but that'd be pretty cool.

I probably don't have much chance for this but i'd like to be a forum mod. I think i'm mature and responsible for the position. I haven't really made many posts recently but i'm on the BBS at least10 - 15 hours a week. Probably because i can't really find many topics that i could find a way to respond to in a mature way.

Regardless, if i could hold a position as a forum moderator, it would not be regretted.

I would love to be a mod, but i feel I wouldn't be a very dedicated one, so there must be loads better ones.

However, what I really think is that regular users should have some say in which mods get chosen. Or at least know about the process

Hello,my name is TrantaLock.After reading Wade's post,i relized how many diferent mods their are.I do know how "Forum" Mods get to lock,delete,and ban;but i dont want the huge responsebility.The current forum mods have commited to be at NG at the forums as much as they can.I also belive that to be a forum mod requires the most mature users,witch i guess is not me the most because i am 13.There are 18 year old's on this website who decide better and think better.I also belive the same for "Review" mods.When i thought of the "audio" mod,i thought that i never go onto the audio portal,and should go onto audio alot to earn an audio mod certifacate.So,if i would be randomly chosen,i would be happy to be an icon mod;only playing a smaller part to NG,helping out the icon system :)

I'd like to be a forum mod. I'm usually active from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, then I switch between NG, and another board from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM, then sometimes from 8:00 to 11:00 (All times within are GMT(-08:00) I spend a lot of time on the site. I don't have an exact number, however.

I would be a good mod because I am not afraid to ban, lock, and otherwise moderate. I have previous history moderating at one other board, along with being a chat mod for several different chatrooms. (Not NG Chat, however)

Audio mod.

Apart from submitting to the audio portal i also give audios reviews, rating (which they deserve) since the audio portal seems to get ignored when it comes to votes and reviews. I also have great knowleadge of music of all different styles and have spotted (and reported) many stolen songs which have been submitted.

My first choice would be audio portal mod, and secondly a forum mod.

I think I'd make a good Audio moderator because I'm in the audio forum quite alot, because I love music and I'm always looking for something new to listen to. I'm pretty open to all genres as well.
I think i'd make a decent forum Mod because I've been here for 3 years and I know what's what. I can tell easily enough if something is a genuine topic or spam in disguise, and I've got a good sense of justice so I know if someone deserves a ban or not.

I'm online on most weekdays from about 4PM to 10PM GMT and on I'm on a lot on saturdays, and on sunday online pretty much all day.

Forum mod.

As you can see (look slightly left from this post), I'm somewhat active on the forums, to say. I've been banned a plenty of times (just got off from a 7 day one for telling people not to post in one topic, becuse posting in it, ironically results in a ban), but hey, now I have experience on what is banworthy and what not. I don't have loyalties to people to stop me from banning them.

As for the timeframe, I'm in the GMT +2 time zone, which is 7 hours before newgrounds time, so, to say, when it's midnight on NG, it's 7 am here. I'm mostly on after 4 (9 am NG time) to around midnight (5 pm ng time), depending on how I get entry to the computer. That's on weekdays. On weekends, my range of activity can go from around midnight NG time to midnight local time.

Now, this is little use when patrolling the american forumgoers, but there's a large quantity of brittish (and scottich/irish) users that are on around the same time as myself (two hours difference in timezones), and European moderational staff are few. So, I don't know. Give it a thought.

I'd probably just be a fourm mod, but I wouldn't mind helping out with icons or reviews as well. I come on (this will be UK times) from about 3:45pm to appoximately about 10:30pm from mondays to thursdays.

On fridays, I start from 3:45pm but stay on until around midnight. On weekends, I get on from as late as mid-day and depending what I am doing that day, I can stay on until around midnight. I spend most of it on NewGrounds until I get bored (or banned).
