Why 4Kids is allowed to exist and has not been torn down yet is beyond my comprehension.

I really, really hope that 4Kids doesn't butcher Naruto for a younger audience. The show isn't meant for rabid 7 year olds with short attention spans and little understanding of how deep its characters are.

The plot would be killed.

You of all people should know that NAruto (Capatilised A on purpose) has been licenced by Viz. 4Kids should have no power over it.

One censor which may happen is that Haku becomes a girl. Since the media in America is against Homosexual relationships. A possibility?

i believe that 4kids exists so that parents can say that thier kids are not watching smut filled, violent, vulgar anime. you know how parents get. they see theyre kids go and beat up others in school, make fun of nerds, damage things, etc. etc. and they dont want to have to actually parent, so they let their tv do the babysitting. but then they see their kids watching some anime where a character says "damn!", or smokes, or takes a punch, or uses a gun and suddenly theyre all like "oh no! my kids being violent not because of my poor parenting, but because a drawing on tv showed then something that i dont want to admit is in almost every single movie and tv show out there! im outraged!" suddenly, 4kids is started up and now any anime that they get their slimy claws on gets butchered, mutilated, dipped in sugar glaze and peddled out to everyone as "fit for all ages".

and thats why i think 4kids exists.

A friend told me 4Kids licensed it for US television. Thank god that's not the case. I'm not too familiar with Viz though, but nothing can be much worse than 4K.

"oops, looks like i shortened the world too much!"

Maybe. It would be an easy change, and i even know how they would change the scenes.

They could easily have the seen where he tells naruto he's a man changed to have "her" telling Naruto that she has a boyfriend. It's an easy change to make, so it all comes down to if they wanna be open minded or not. Even if they make him a her, the whole age difference thing is still a huge problem. Zabuza is, like, in his late 20's or better, and haku is 12 or 13. So eitherway, it's kinda bad according to the logic of censors. We can only hope they decide not to screw with it.

Haku is 15 years old, according to the Soldier's Book*. But yes, it would be a huge shame if they become closed-minded idiots who can't accept a bit of guardian-child love.

* The Soldier's book is a published guide to the Naruto Characters incuding age, family position, hobbies and even their Favourite food (And the food they hate)

They actually had a good point in saying that if Lil Slugger wanted to be useful, he could just destroy the school. It'd be cool, i mean, what if he did come and destroy the school? He'd give the students, AND the teachers a case of paranoia, and then he wouldn't have to sit and listen to that old woman's story, which was really screwing with his head for too much.

I can see it now, Lil' slugger sitting there wailing on the side of the school with a baseball bat. In plain sight no less. Just like the one guy did to the castle wall on samurai Champloo(though not with a bat, obviously) which brings me to something I've been meaning to bitch about. I cant believe they just stopped 1/2 way though the series. the better be just running late on it because I was pissed when they aired the first episode again. thats wrong to build it up for... over 3 months than just drop it. oh well. It could have been worse, they could have waited for an episode that left you in suspense than did it.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is the greatest anime show on this planet,but most people are put off by its complex storyline through the episodes,not to mention the 'cancelled' movie,which they decided didnt work, AFTER IT WAS RELEASED! But still, a great show.

This is obviously wrong.

Evangelion is a good show, but it certainly is NOT the best. Simply because there is no "Best".

Gainax's Masterpiece? Maybe competing between "Gunbuster" and "Nadia Secret of Blue Water"...

Complex Storyline? It's not too complicated asides from many Religious references in many points of the story. Heck, it's even self-stated that "End of Evangelion" is a movie animated out of revenge against those who sent "Hate Mail" to Gainax, hence the "Hate Mail" flashing in and out of the screen in one scene.

I have to agree with wiilman74656, Evangelion is a great anime show. Here's my list for my top 5 anime shows

When ever they translate Animes to English they always stuff the anime up, one example would be DBZ/GT. First off HFIL, Why couldnt they just use HELL for god sakes! Second, there's this one episode were Roshi is drinking foamy water...... I saw the japanese version of the ep and he was drinking beer, WTF!

But I think it all started when pokemon was first released! WHO AGREES?!
