Ok. Here's my anime topic for today. Who here has watched the Live action Sailor Moon? Is it as strange as it looks?

I heard that Sailormoon pretty much doesn't exist in Japan anymore as an anime when merchandise is concerned. It's probably some copyright issue.

Anyway here's my thoughts from the images I've seen...

I was hoping that Luna would look more like the cat from Serena (heh Serena) the Teenaged Witch but she looks more like a stuffed animal.
On the otherhand I'm kind of surprised! The girls don't look nearly as stupid as I thought they would.

Japan being the country that brought us Godzilla I won't be surprised if more of this kind of thing happens to animes in the future.

It's all part of a Negaverse plot to gain our energy and rule the UNIVERSE!

Being a bit of a fan of Sailor Moon (Japanese subbed version only, mind), I do consider SuperS as being the worst of the 5 seasons. As a contrast, I believe Stars was the best season of the 5. It was a bit slow in the middle, but the beginning and end of that season was pretty spectacular.

I've only seen one episode of the live version so far, no subtitles so I didn't have a clue what they were on about. I agree though, it was pretty much like an episode of power rangers, cheesy effects and all.

yeh im pretty sure inu-yasha will be on weekdays...but hopefully the read or die wont take up any new inu-yasha episodes on the weekend...hopefully theyll take off the duel master or the rave stone thing in order to put in read or die instead of taking out one of the good animes....

Is "G4TechTV Canada" some kind of anime channel? I wouldn't know because I don't live in Canada. I really like watching anime, but all I get that shows anime is CN, and now they're barely even showing it on that. In fact, I just found out they took Cowboy Beebop off. I watched the entire English dubb of this show loyally except fot the last movie and the last season (because it was never dubbed) And well WOW that season has to win the award for most watered down saga of any anime series!
