You can either ask good 'ol TwilightKing, or ask the guys over at the ASM and SSM.

There are two problems with that:
1.) You need to list 5 anime series, which means you need one more.
2.) Souske Sagara is already taken, if memory serves me right.

Not true Trivia... 5 animes are preferred but if you can't list 5, less is ok.

Hey Kouga after you do all that is it ok for the person to start posting right away? Or is considered Spam until they are told they are members by a higher up?

You either need to be a member to post here or have special permission from a higher up. (Mods and Admins can post wherever they want.)

AAAH! After all my rants about what makes a real anime or not I nearly forgot about Ms. Dynamite...

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view.php?id=24672

I guess since Sirkowski wasn't born in Japan you can't call it a real anime but he's even got a manga for it on his site and it's better then a lot of official anime on TV...

Although I could never say it truely is it will always be a honorary Japanese animation in my book because it captures the style and soul of it like no ani-ripp off on CNW can hope to.

You may as well call Mega Tokyo a real manga. Just becuase it looks like it, and imitates it well doesn't mean its the real thing. Piro is from Wisconsin. Ah well. It's still a good webcomic.

What if an American family moved to Japan and gave birth to a child who was born and raised in Japan, then the child went onto to art school learning how to draw anime. Could this person make a bonafide anime?

Yes, because it was made in Japan by a real company that actually makes anime.

I agree Wonko. It's great but it's not anime just anime style. I can say it's a tribute at the very least.

Boy is it quiet today... sheesh.

Kinda defeats the purpose of calling it anime if its made in America and created by Americans but its just anime drawing style .

Actually "anime" translates as animation, but yeah, basically a cartoon.

Spoke to soon. Should of kept my mouth shut after the first time this was discussed.

Black Shade it's a Ethno-centric art style. That's why it's called 'Japanese' anime. Alot of people don't realize it and put everything into the category. If you say you can make anime and be American because the style is simmiliar well damn THAT means every Disney cartoon is a anime because that's what inspired anime in the first place.

I said it before but... Lion King and Atlantis could be debated Butthat is a different story I won't go into it. Someone else fammiliar with what I mean can. Let's just say Disney doesn't have a original bone left in its money grubbing body.

I'm not saying American French or whatever anime is bad because it's not officially anime far from it. But I am saying it's kinda a oxymoron.

That's because I was busy rotting my mind reading sprite comics. I tell you, someone could go insane reading those on a daily basis.

As for anime and whatever you guys are talking about, I prefer to consider true anime made in Japanime.

yeah ok i understand, but what if inuyasha was made in jamiaca by a jamaican man? and just cuz of that we wouldnt concider it anime. thats pretty much segregation.

or could i say, some one made an anime in england, england man, made anime with the same style, and drawings of inuyasha, isnt it anime?

im not trying to change anything, i just wanna hear some what u would consider it as.

God....what a pathetic attempt for a good show. It's stupid, dumb, retarded, and it sucks really bad to. Did I mention stupid?

I agree so much. MAN I love how none of you guys dig that crap because I have another reason for hating it. I'm a comic book fan. And turning a american comic into a attempt at anime is friggin' all backwards! Backwards and I know that the Teen Titans is a good comic book! Now everyone thinks it's Japanese because they watch to much TV and don't read. >:(

Hey Redangle how many clubs are you in man? ^_^ You're everywhere!
