I'm currently struggling through Digimon Xros Wars. 47 episodes in and it's really mediocre. I just want to be able to say that I've watched every Digimon season up to now but god, it's so bland.

Watching every episode of an anime can be a challenge, but don't stop now. Maybe it will have a great ending?
Got into reading the manga, "Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu".
It has the usual shoujo cliches as one would expect but for some reason I couldn't stop reading. With that said, on the comments section some of the readers did have issues with the first 20 chapters where the relationship came off as abusive but it doesn't seem that bad despite the love interest being a dick due to his mommy issues (and the fact that he catches the teacher he liked having sex with a student).

I already know the ending. I like it, but it's just not the same as the other seasons. They threw everything I loved and all of the established rules overboard for some mecha stuff. And I don't like mechas to begin with.

You already know the ending, but you are still making yourself watch every episode? You should just try a new anime.

It's a bit of a kiddy anime so i'm not sure if you'll like it.
Also give Shimoneta a go whenever you can, YOU WON'T REGRET IT

Should be a great night of Toonami tonight. All new episodes, so get your snacks ready.
^ Thanks for the weekly reminder...
Been meaning to finally watch Blue Sub No. 6 after 10+ years. Always missed it on Toonami in the early 2000s. Will be the first thing I look for when I decide to watch a new anime. Probably Freedom after that since I've wanted to see that for years as well. Though I STILL haven't bothered to put in my copy of Hellsing Ultimate 9 + 10 that I've had for I dunno how long. Just haven't felt like rewatching 1-8 for a recap.
I'm told Voltron has a new series out on Netflix so I'll check that out. I know it's not anime, but it might make me want to go back and watch something else featuring giant robots some time soon. Gundam Wing perhaps?

Another new Voltron? It could be decent. Gundam Wing is always good watching.

Only issue I would have with one of the non-canon Voltron series is that some idiots would say "But Sven is alive in that series" when it was non-canon and has no freaking connection to the original Go Lion anime. Admittingly I don't care much for Go Lion but it's close to using a flash animation parody as a proof of fanfiction to a certain series being canon.
Seen that comment in the YouTube comments section by a retard in a video about Sven's death.

Yeah, looks like Netflix produced it and it just came out this month. Here's the wikipedia for it. I didn't really read it other than to verify the release date though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voltron:_Legendary_Defender
As far as Gundam goes, I think I do miss the Endless Waltz movie. I'm going to have to track down a dvd. Or hell, a remastered Blu-ray if they made one. I'd love to see updated graphics one day that look like The Appleseed movie or Ghost in the Shell:SAC

The zombie story line on One Piece has been good so far. Not sure, when they will get back to finding the One Piece.

Lupin is actually one of the big holes in my mission to consume all of popular culture. Is there anything specific you'd recommend other than the ghibli film?

The original series is a ton of fun. The specials and films are very hit-or-miss, though. From what I've seen I like Crisis in Tokyo, Fuma Clan, and Green vs Red the most.
I haven't actually seen the sequel series other than an odd episode here and there, but I'll probably get around to it once I run out of music documentaries to watch.
What I've read of the manga is great too if you're a NERD

I looooove Lupin. My favorite is Lupin III Part 2 (the red jacket series), especially dubbed with Tony Oliver as Lupin and Richard Epcar as Jigen. Out of the movies, other than Cagliostro, I really like Secret of Mamo (only movie afaik that's dubbed with the same cast as the second series a.k.a red jacket series), Burn Zantetsuken and Fuma Conspiracy. There's other good ones.

Oh, yeah, and of course the original (green jacket) series is also good. I've never gotten around to the third (pink jacket) series myself. Another thing maybe worth mentioning, there's hardly any recurring antagonists. Mr X comes back in the first episode of the red jacket series and Pycal comes back in a (somewhat recent) movie. Both were in the first series. It mostly doesn't matter what order you watch any of this stuff. Though the original series has Goemon before becoming part of the crew.
Seriously, though, Tony Oliver practically is Lupin to me. But the Japanese guy grew on me, too. I guess he was replaced in the new show, though. I really only want to hear one of the two. No Sonny Strait or whatever.
Bloody hell lads I'm drunk and retro tripping through my internet childhood, incredible this is still alive, even with members that had been here ages when I joined! This is just a momentary pop in but it's good to see this community still going after so long.
P.S Sense-Offender,
I was brought back here chatting to willy and he was surprised you're still using that sig he made you must've been about 7 years ago, still with the credit even.
God Luck and Good Speed fellas!

Happy to see you back. We are still here alive and kicking.
Toonami tonight, will Tom ever get off the planet and back to outer space?

If something looks bad, than just watch something else. It is not worth it to force watch anything.
Tonnami is on tonight, but everyone knows that already I'm just inb4ing DSB lol.
