Also just wanted to see if anyone remembers me at all.

The other night, I logged into netflix and gave Attack on Titan a chance. I'd heard it was great, but other than that, I knew absolutely nothing about it, not even what the general plot was about. I'm glad I gave it a chance. I marathoned the first season, it was pretty good. I really liked the characters.

I would watch attack on titan, but there's no English dub. I don't watch anime that isn't dubbed, i've only made an acception for Tokyo godfathers.

the word "edgy" is thrown around way too much these days and i have a hard time taking people seriously when they use it. i haven't seen the shingeki no kyojin anime but i have read the manga and enjoyed it, it has good tension and interesting twists, and the action scenes are great of course.

There are many good dubs. I just find it weird that you'd so firmly restrict yourself to them and refuse to watch subs. People who insist that you should only watch subs are annoying, though.

i'm good enough at japanese to watch stuff without subs so i really have no reason to bother with dubs, since there's always something lost in translation.

I doubt he'll read it considering that he's likely one of those who prefer dubs so he won't have to read the subtitles. Not to mention how there are people who probably didn't realize that sometimes the dubs also changes the dialogues as well, hate it when that happens.

I did, and look at my response, I said English voice acting isn't bad. Theres only a handful of poorly acted anime and its not even just subjective to anime, everything has a worst case scenario, I dont know why you think the worst case is the only case.

You're being pretty close minded as the retards that only watch subs. There's so much out there that you're missing just because you don't want to read or can't keep up with the text.

Fair enough, it's really a matter of convenience more so than anything else. The vast majority of the time, the voice acting for both the original Japanese audio and the English dub are on par with each other, or at least pretty close to each other that it shouldn't make that much of a difference. Personally, I try to be neutral when it comes to subs vs. dubs debate mostly because of what I said here and in the past about English voice acting. (Fan subs and dubs are a whole different issue)

Though the only times that I would say that I would watch subs is if there no dub available, or if is an old school anime, which usually have awful dubs to begin with. It's really a matter of convenience more than anything else.

I just watched Little witch academia. It's a short film but thanks to a recently successful Kickstarter campaign now has a sequel in production. I was genuinely interested in it, it was a great little film. Im a fan of the art direction.

@Jackho suggested I watch Little Witch Academia a little while back and it was pretty good. Death Billiards was the other short film from Anime Mirai 2013 he recommended I watch and I actually enjoyed it a lot more. Definitely had a more interesting plot as far as I'm concerned and actually left me thinking about it for a little while afterwards.

What? Why? Subbed anime is the best, the only dubbed anime I watch is DBZ, the others just get so censored.
