NHK is the name of the anime (Welcome to the NHK to be precise)

I don't really know why but Steins;Gate. The plot of both anime are different but I got the same feeling for them. If you didn't watch Steins;Gate, you should check it, this anime is godly!
Also excuse me but I have to turn on my promoter mode:
This is an anime-style bullet-hell music-based game: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/616748
If you are fan of bullet hell, Touhou or game with anime style, why don't you give it a try?!

Don't hate me. I was really honesty to recommend you Steins Gate. :(

Crisis Core, War of the Lions, FF4...
Next will be FF 7, because its also considered 'the best in the series'
VII is really similar to VI gameplay wise, you should like it. If at all possible you should play Crisis Core first, but it's on PSP.
Then FF 9 because Zidane was my main in Dissidia, and I hear it was 'most underrated' in the series.
IX is my favorite FF and one of my favorite games of all time, best soundtrack for sure. Zidane is one of the best protagonists.
Then FF origins (includes 1 & 2) ill play 2 first because Firion was fucking pimp.
You shouldn't really go out of your way to play the first three, they're extremely hard with simple plots and no real redeeming qualities. The only way I'd recommend them is if they were the 20th anniversary editions, but again they're on PSP. III is alright, but probably the hardest one and far from the best. Again, if you had to play it then the PSP/DS version is the best.
Save 8 for last, I didn't like Squall much :\
There's a lot of people who will defend it but VIII is really pretty terrible. Nonsensical plot, weak main characters with no chemistry or motivation while the rest of the cast is just there. Junction system is ass and breaks the game, and combat is annoying especially when you have to draw magic.
Those are the ones available to PS1, I know 3 and 5 are on the DS.
IV, V and VI are also on PS1 in FF anthology, 1-9 are all on PSN now too. VI on the PS1 suffers from bad loading times though, sometimes taking literally 20 seconds to load the menu. Best version of IV is the complete collection version, but that's on PSP, the DS remake is the worst version but it's still by all means playable. The PSP is pretty much just an FF machine.
Then FF 13-2
I'll skip FF 10, 10-2, and 13.
Why on earth would you skip 13 but play 13-2? Honstly they're just as bad as each other, if you like one you'll like the other and vice versa. Some people preach about how much 13-2 improved it, but really it didn't make it any better at all.
FFX is actually pretty great. Best combat in the series by far and a really, really good soundtrack. Best summons too. The characters aren't great but the gameplay and amount of content make up for it. I wouldn't miss that one.
For someone new to the series I'd say IV, VI, VII, IX, X and Tactics are the ones you really need to play, they're the most loved and offer a nice variety of settings. Only play the others if you really want more after that. I, II and to a lesser extent III are pretty much just for the more hardcore fans. V, XII and XIII are hit or miss. VIII is mostly miss. X-2 is awful.
Has anyone want to talk about Aku no Hana anime version? lol
I'm fan of the manga. XD

It has, like, one nude in the whole thing, but there is a fair bit of romance. What it does have in spades is good action and really well fleshed-out characters. I consider it the spiritual successor to Cowboy Bebop, kind of.
But don't expect any nudes. There's probably rule 34 of the characters if you search for it.

You can watch the anime first, I think it's fine, the anime itseft is complete and neat enough. Then you can try VNs because they are much much complexer so you won't be bored to play VNs after watching anime. xD Small one -> bigger. xD

I still need to watch the first season and all so I can't say that I'm excited for it.
1/4 through Musashi and this book's gonna reach the climax once Matahachi and Musashi reunite. I recognise Sasaki Kojiro's name from FSN and now I see why Nasu called him Fake Assassin; all bets are on Matahachi inheriting/stealing Kojiro's identity.

Hello. I am Falcrum. I want to talk about these new Evangelion movies. They pretty snazzy, right? Well, they really have left an impression on me personally. I know a good amount of people who grew up with NGE, and, of course, the majority of them prefer the original series to the new movies. I don't think I've met a person who was hardcore into the original that prefers the new movies. I was a teenager when I first saw NGE. It was on Adult Swim, and I never saw it from the beginning until years later. The first episode I ever sat through was when Shinji killed Kaworu. DX The series always felt so disjointed and solum. It was so weird to me as a kid who was just getting introduced to anime to see such childhood depression and action going hand in hand. There was hardly any romance in it, but what fans raved about xD. These new movies seem to be going to the same place that the series was going, but you can see more of a character development, though, I haven't seen NGE in years. Idk if any of you saw the third installment yet, but that movie is so epic in my opinion, though, lots of people are confused and disappointed by it. What do you guys suspect will happen in the fourth? Do you feel the same ending coming as was in EoE? What do you think about the character development and how the story is handled?
At 5/9/13 11:34 PM, falcrumthedark wrote: These new movies seem to be going to the same place that the series was going, but you can see more of a character development, though
Are you shitting me? Rebuild drops nearly all the character development in favor of more over the top action and explosions. The first two are nice additions to the series but without the already developed characters backing it up they would be shallow and boring.
Most of the fight scenes, Ramiel especially, were improved but 3.0 absolutely sucked all round, worse than episode 24 in every way. I'd rather have just seen episode 24 with the still frame an extra hour long, at least then they wouldn't have destroyed every character.
They can't top EoE, but I'm still interested in seeing how they end it despite 3.0 ruining everything Rebuild had going for it.

It'll probably follow the manga more closely or to the 'T'. Either way, I'm going to watch the hell out of it.

Every character was ruined. Misato is literally the opposite of what she was at the end of 2.22, Kaji and all of Shinji's friends were all killed off screen and all of the old characters had about 10 lines total, why not give us some scenes on the wunder during that solid hour of shinji moping. The old NERV personnel were thrown aside in favor of the new generic space opera crew. Rei is dead and of the miniscule screen time Asuka got she was just hostile for no reason, in 15 or however many years she literally hasn't changed at all. Massive cop out. Everyone's just an asshole really. Obviously Shinji's going to try to fuck your shit when you pull him out of a 15 year stasis, tell him everyone's dead and it's his fault, chastise him for something you encouraged him to do and refuse to explain anything. Like, seriously, they turned everyone into an idiot.
Mari was probably the most disappointing though, she went from being this all important all knowing agent to Asuka's redundant sidekick. If she's just there as back up then why was she so shrouded in mystery in 2.22? How could she control unit 2 and how did she know about beat mode and the like, how did she know so much that NERV and even Gendo clearly didn't?
The ending of 2.22 was exaggerated to the point of bollocks, we clearly see Kowaru stopping 3rd impact yet in 3.0 we're told it killed fucking everyone and destroyed NERV HQ, even killing shinji's classmates who were hiding in a shelter somewhere (and yet Misato, Ritsuko and Maya, who were standing 30 feet away, are completely unharmed).
How the absolute fuck did Misato, who has no funding without NERV and seele backing her up, manage to build the Avengers' warship out of a god damn angel, and create a space program to go with it(and yet they don't have enough money to repair Asuka's plug suit, which seems to have just been taped back together)? And NERV consists of two old men at this point anyway, how did they even build and maintain a new eva? We're left to assume the entire cast is what's left of japan, where did anyone get the manpower to do this shit? They've got more advanced weapons now than when they had thousands of employees and infinite government funding.
With misato's firepower she could easily wipe out the rest of nerv, Gendo doesn't even have a pilot to stand up against Asuka, Mari and the wunder. Misato says the entire point of her organisation is to destroy nerv, so why hasn't she done it? They've just been sitting around thinking about it for 15 years.
There's the whole missing plot point of what the hell they were doing in the time skip. Why did both misato and seele just fucking leave shinji and unit 1 floating in space for 15 years? Asuka and Mari are still pilots, so were they just training for over a decade or what? We didn't miss any angel battles.
The entire concept of dual pilot Evas is completely retarded. There was also an hour of absolutely nothing in the middle, thanks to the timeskip 90% of the significant events in rebuild have happened off screen. There's rumors of a timeskip TV series, but why not just tell us what happened now instead of wasting our fucking time with a pointless film. They just outright told shinji about his mother, the clones and unit 1 this time. They have no idea where they're going with this plot.
I didn't like it.

Not for nothing, but a spoiler alert would've been nice for those who didn't see the 3rd movie, but considering that's it Evangelion, I wouldn't exactly be missing much TBH, nor would I have any different expectation story-wise.
That said, I honestly can not wait for the 4th {and presumably, final} movie. I wouldn't be surprised if it was like EoE at all, which is the result of NERV having their heads so far up their ass for various reasons, they barely seem to notice that everything around them is going to hell real quick, in theory of course.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Monster is really good, it might feel slow at first but the story and character development are great, and I like how many layers the story has and how it is shown from many different points of view. It also has one of the best villains of all time.

!!! I can't say enough how much I agree with that. I like how Monster was so hauntingly realistic, and how hard it is to hate the villain for all the atrocities committed, especially at the ending once everything becomes clear.
