really? i figured you would for somethings, especially if it really grabbed your interest. i torrent pretty most, if not all, of my anime stuff since a good chunk of it is either tricky to find or really pricey. not to mention that i'm super thankful that my ISP doesn't dick ride me into the ground 24/7 like a cheap spanish whore on dope like some other ISPs do to my friends.
i know there are some sites out there where you can watch the latest episodes, OVAs, or movies of a particular anime. that being said the majority of them are in really poor quality.
that aside i know we're an anime club, always have and always will be, but a friend of mine turned my musical interests to a korean pop band. now, i'm not a big fan of korean pop and i think a lot of it sounds bad but BIGBANG in particular is pretty good to my standards of music and what i enjoy, be it black metal or folk music. if it sounds good to me then i'll listen to it.
BIGBANG does a great job with the original sound of the song. it's really something unique that i've never really heard before in a pop song and the video for it is pretty interesting too. i'd say give it a listen too.
be it drunk or whatever i've always had the thought of making a club for Eastern/Asian culture. be it the history, food, traditions, music or whatever falls in between. or maybe i've been drinking too much heh.

a doubt about Angel Beats
(spoiles)
Hi, yesterday i saw angel Beats episode 13 and it left me with a doubt:
According to Kanade, she is in that world because she didnt have the chance to thank Otonashi for giving her his heart. Now, if Kanade was given Otonashis heart, the logic this would be that Kanade died after him. But when Otonashi arrives to that crazy world, Kanade was already there for a while (a long time having in mind that they built that giant guild to build weapons to fight Kanade)
I was getting all emotional and then she says than and it left me thinking.
Its also said that Otonashi ended up there for loosing his memory, so we discard that he was put there to "save" Kanade, because it would have to be a great delay between both events and they are reborn after dying.
Maybe (and i hope so) i lost something that explains it.
(i still have to see 13.5 and 14, but as i heard they are only epilogues, and before finishing it i would like to clear that doubt so i can enjoy it as its supposed to )

I'm always ready for more Geass, well just as soon as I finish with Ashita No Joe, an old school boxing anime from the early 70's, which it's premise is actually quite similar to the Rocky movies. I'm still kind of in a old-school anime fix, which lasted through most of my summer, and really haven't kept up to date about any current anime, other than Boukoku No Akito.
About the only reservation I have is seeing Suzaku's face again, oh do I want to drill that son of a bitch with a right cross, but I digress.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

I guess I'll be moving to Hellsing Ultimate then.
In comparison to the original Hellsing TV Series? Yeah, you could make that analogy. But it's like saying consensual slutty whores sucking your dick by the miles is better than a prostitute that gives you the clap and runs off with your money.
Seriously, Orginal Hellsing was bad.

Well if the first hellsing didn't exist hellsing ultimate wouldn't be here, plus even though it left plot holes the original was still good imo

Well.......we don't really know how much time passes between the two worlds. One year in the living realm could be ten in their world.
The end of Angel Beats was a mess.
Sure, it was powerful, but the timeline seemed too messed up to work.
Another 13 eps would've helped the series flesh out the characters and story without too much fluff added.
I watched the first two episodes of Corpse Princess. It looks like it could be good, despite that typical annoying anime humor.
Also, hi there, Kouga.

That isn't certain. They're just both based on the same manga. The TV series didn't have to be made in order for Ultimate to be conceived.

Meh, it was alright until they got to that goofball with the purple marks on him.

Boo.
It's not that I lost interest in anime, but that I lost interest in this club, as others have stated, if you hang around in this thread for too long it gets stagnant. Well actually, I have kinda lost interest in anime because nothing recent seems interesting to me. Most of the newer stuff I hear about seems aimed at younger girls.
I'd post here more often if people were interested in talking about new anime this Fall.
Anybody planning to watch Psycho-Pass or K?

I know what you mean, Wonko. I've been lurking here for months, if not years, because I haven't seen anything worth talking about.
I am thankful that Toonami is back on the air; it's the only source I have for anime on TV. I've been using Netflix with mixed results; not everything is streaming, and sometimes discs go unavailable.
Has anyone here seen Casshern Sins? Apparently, it's the gritty reboot of a series that aired in the '70s and inspired Megaman X. The only back-story I could find on Netflix is the live-action film, which left me with more questions than answers. The only thing that has f***ed my mind harder recently is Deadman Wonderland, but that series was only 12 episodes long.
I joined the anime society at my uni and we started Another and Angel Beats the other day. Another didn't seem that great but I already know and love Angel Beats so I guess it's okay.

Hulu has a decent selection, and it's free.

I've seen two or three episodes. The action seems cool, at least.

Yeah, I didn't care for that movie.

I can't stand the main character.

Same here, to be honest, there hasn't been anything the last couple of years that made me stop and say "I got to watch this now." Not to say that there wasn't any good ones to mention, but I just wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless they were a diehard fan of moe. Probably why I went back to watching more old-school anime recently.

Kind of a shame really. Don't get me wrong, I like Toonami as much as the next anime fan and all, but the only source for anime on TV is kind of sad once you think about it. I would've thought that we would have a dedicated anime channel on TV by now, considering that there are numerous movies, sports and even cooking channels on cable/satellite TV, couldn't there be room for a 24 hour anime channel?

Haven't seen the original version, so I wouldn't know too much about it. As for the reboot, well I really didn't care for it that much.

I'm watching Space Bros at the moment, although I'm pretty far behind the current airing ep, it's been going for half a year now and is pretty sweet. About a guy training to become an astronaut. Is cool.

I see your club likes mediocre anime.
Two of the most unintentionally hilarious shows I've seen in years.

pretty much what I was expecting
but you didn't like Angel Beats?
I love anime even though I haven't watched much. (Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-gi-OH, Dragonball Z) but I'm still very interested in it. I think it's an awesome style of cartooning.
I really need to start being more active here.
Just started watching the dubbed version of Panty and Stocking and I feel they did justice. Definetly one of the best dubs I've heard maybe since like Shin Chan or Golden Boy.
Aside from that that's about it. Frankly, I'm getting sick of the crap on Netflix. I need to get into the japanese versions of those animes like Ouran and Hetalia (Okay maybe not that) but uh yup
How's shit otherwise?

high five.
Shin Chan had a freakin' awesome dub. comedic rewrites. yeah.
Just watched the first episode of the new Jojo's bizarre adventure series. My only complaint is that the pacing felt kind of off, but maybe it will even out once the show goes on. Also it was interesting how the ending song was by Yes, didn't expect an anime to have music from and old progressive rock band.

really? awesome.
I've been struggling to get back into Legends of the Galatic Heroes. I'm about 50 episodes in and I was really enjoying it I just ended up falling off the wagon and can't seem to get back on. Now I am just watching episodes of Yugioh all the time instead.
Anyone know any good streaming sites? My laptop needs a new charger so I've got to use my tablet for now.

animefuel is good. Also, Hulu has a lot of anime you can watch for free. It's actually a pretty good selection, and the quality is top notch, which isn't something I can honestly say about any streaming site I've been to.

Animefuel looks good and has a large collection. I'm aware of Hulu, but I don't like how it's trying to force me to purchase a plus account; seriously, it tells me to upgrade every page I go to.
