Just because you hate the fanbase doesn't necessarily mean you should hate on the show. Give it a try at least, you might enjoy it. There's a lot of anime where I really disliked the fanbase, however I still found the show entertaining.
In my case, some people really dislike The World God Only Knows fanbase >.< No blaming them there.

Yesterday I got the HD re-release of Jojo's bizarre adventure the arcade game, I highly recommend it if you like JJBA, I don't usually play versus fighters but I enjoy this game.

I'm strapped for cash because of P4Arena and BO2, but I'm definitely getting it once I've got the money.
Speaking of P4Arena, it's a worthwhile buy if you're a fan of Persona 4 and JJBA (it's obvious that the Persona series is heavily inspired by Jojo). Story mode is great, but not worth paying full price for. The challenges/online/score attack provide enough replay value (+ DAT MUSIC MY MEGURO) for it to be worth the price. The 2-D sprites are done great by Arc System Works and shows that they could make an awesome Jojo game if they wanted to.

So I finally finished House of Leaves and it's fucked my mind a ton. I'm still trying to piece everything together. An anime adaptation isn't a totally far-fetched idea, but it'd work best as a mockumentary (aired as a T.V. serial?). Chapter 8/Exploration #4 is where the story really picks up so don't drop it before then. Exploration #5 is the peak of the story.
Highly recommended, NOVEL/FICTIONAL WORK OF THE CENTURY, etc.

You can pretty much talk about anything anime related (manga, VNs, LNs, music, games, etc), but there's no penalty for talking about off-topic stuff. I've only played three of the games, Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil, Imperishable Night, and PCB. I'm a fan of shmups, so I got what I expected and more -- awesome OST, nice sprites, gameplay, etc -- but the character art isn't so good imo.
And a lot of it is good quality stuff.
