First of all, Azumanga Daioh is a shonen manga. I don't recognise most of the others, other than Aria and Cardcaptor Sakura.

Second, those words are demographics. They describe who the comic/anime were written for. They do not describe anything to do with art style or subject matter. They just say whether something was written for boys, girls, or adult males, which is usually determined by where the creator chose to publish the comic.

You also have 'josei' for adult females, and 'kodomo' for children.

Bad selection.

Have I mentioned that Moe, like lolicon, is a disease?

Amen

It's not as potentially dangerous as lolicon (or shotacon, for that matter), however.

Well, they're both actually symptoims of the same problem; the fetishisation of youth.

But that's a bigger issue than what I want to start arguing about, I'm just saying that there needs to be less cutest little girls in animu, and rather, some adult characters and compelling storylines.

I didn't miss the point. I was just pointing out that I couldn't judge the demographics of the others.

And I'm a little sick of slice of life shows.

I back this anime up 100% if you want a nice comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously. It really had me laughing every episode. Do watch.

Really, it's hilarious imo

Yes they do. They exist for the sole purpose of meaning something. I mean, that's why they're called lebels, they act as a label to tell you what to expect. Just because you personally don't like some misaplied labels somewhere doesn't mena you should shit on the basics of human communication.

So, I checked out the first episode of gundam unicorn, and I came buckets. I highly suggest it to any gundam, mech, or even non mech fans. You don't need to watch any previous gundams to understand it, but old gundam fans will love it. NONE OF THAT 00 SHIT NIG

Still waiting on bakemonogatari 14 to be subbed. Really, everyone's been waiting for months and they're taking days to sub a very highly anticipated series. Who the fuck's in charge of this subbing shit?

Checked out the 5th Kara no Kyoukai movie, and it was just as good as the last movies. About to check out the next one soon. I really didn't like the first movie, but I'm glad I stuck it out and kept watching.

I'm thinking of checking out hidamari sketch, but /a/ tells me that it's a bunch of moeblob. Anyone wanna confirm or deny this for me?

Watched a couple episode of ikkitousen, and it was bad. Michael Jackson bad. (LOLOLOLOL RAPPER DOUBLE ENTENDRE) Don't watch it. Don't even try it. The ecchi is borderline hentai, the plot's shit, the main characters are easily hate-able, and the fight scenes are extremely lame. It's like a much much much worse needless set in a school environment.

Needless needs a sequel asap.

Finally finished Shangri-la. I've had it on hold for months, but I'm glad I revisited the series and gave it a proper watch. I DONT WANT NO SCRUB A SCRUB IS A BOY WHO CANT GET NO LOVE FROM ME HANGING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF HIS BEST FRIENDS RIDE TRYING TO HOLLER AT ME

I'm really starting to get into fma brotherhood, and I've been wondering how long this series will be airing. I heard that the manga's ongoing, so I'm thinking that this fma might take the big three, fairy tail route, if you catch my drift.

Finished mikami-ke's second season, and I admit that it isn't as good as the first, but it still hasn't lost its touch. I plan on watching the third season soon.

Finished up bartender, and I loved it. It's actually the reason why I'm drunk so early today.

Yerrrrp.

Is that the one that was made in a not-so-chronological order for seemingly no reason?

I watched the first episode of it. It was sooooooooo boring.

It was slice of life without the comedy. It was just watching a bunch of boring people do boring things.

And the stupid anachronic order just made me feel out of the loop.

It's an incredibly huge pile of wideface moeblob. One of the biggest I've ever seen. Oh. And the teacher squeaks when she walks. Anyway, the anime is largely focused on the characters themselves rather than any definitive plot line.

Bakemonogatari 14 was amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. There's something about that series that makes me love every second of it. Can't wait for the last episode. Hopefully they'll make it an hour long.

Durarara 8 was great. Wouldn't expect anything less from this year's best anime. Finally tells the audience where Celty's head is. I have no idea why I didn't think of it before, it was right in my face the whole time. As a sidenote, durarara also has my favorite ed and op of this year. Really, if any of you haven't given it a shot yet, go watch it. It's the biggest thing since shamwow.

Nah, it didn't end, it went on a 3 month-ish hiatus. The anime's going to go up until episode 15, episode 14 just came out last week.

So, Ponyo is coming out on DVD and Blu Ray on March 2, is anyone else interested in watching it? I've been waiting a long time to see it, so I'm pretty excited. Does anyone recommend watching any of Hayao Miyazaki's other films?

Also, Mendou, did you want to play Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 some time?

Finished up Cowboy Bebop. Wow, that was awesome. Every episode was pretty awesome. Boogie Woogie Fung Shei was kind of silly, and calling Fung Shei a "real science" made me laugh my ass off. But awesome episode nonetheless.

The Ending episodes were badass. There is a reason why this is called the best anime ever because it feels like it is. I don't know what else to say.

Bang.
