Nobody ever said that the manga isn't a bit of a chore to read...

As for the anime, it gets quite unbearable towards the end.

i found FMA to be quite enjoyable overall. some parts were rather slow but eh, filler does that. never read the manga though. GITS: SAC is an amazing series IMHO. a lot of people have said they don't like it and compare it to the original movie[which i don't think is fair]. either way, if you're a fan of cybernetics theories and awesome, you'll like it Mendo.

btw, working computer = full time activity

Mango is a fruit. You can't read that.

more seriously speaking, the manga sold here is mostly shoujo romance or Death Note, and most places only have them in Swedish.

Have you ever heard of the series Monster? Read the manga instead of watching the anime. No filler[my assumptions since the anime is 70+ eps and the manga is 18]

Huge chunks of my post count just keep disappearing.

This amuses me greatly.

Videogames have taken the place of anime lately, just got my PS3 back from some repair work and now it's time for a deadly cocktail of Super Robot Wars, Grand Theft Auto and Persona.

How is the animation in it? I know, I'm a bit of a dickbutt, but many of the old series' animation is pretty choppy at times.

S.A.C. was really well animated, had good CGI even.

Pretty uncommon for TV anime to have not-terrible CGI.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is not what I would consider 'old'.

Also, it's amazing in every way.

I see this thread has been developing slowly, I rarely see it on the front page of this forum these days. Oh well.

Anyway are there any new(Or old) anime gems that you guys discovered recently?

Ah, right. For some reason I had the idea that it was a lot older than it is. The Manga was made in the early 90's and the movie in mid 90's.

Yeah, I received a VHS copy of the movie from my father as a birthday present. Keep in mind I was like, 8 at the time.
