Yeah, you do.

Novels are piss-easy to read, takes me a week tops.

The anime volume covers had very tacky covers I thought.

Poor Reiginsei. He just wanted to be a vampire and mean ol' Magnus Lee had to make his head go pop.

Well, it's implied, though he might be smoking just plain cigarettes.

Satou was snorting hallucinogens. He was practically getting high every other chapter.

Vampire D : Bloodlust is 25 times better than Vampire D original film.

I don't know about that one really. Of course it all boils down to preference. I like the grittiness of the older animes VS the newer ones personally. Plus it has some sweet kills in the original one. Speaking of...

I need to pick up the third volume of the VH D manga. The first two are pretty awesome. Anyone else read them?

So... how's it going guys?

Is that all you've got?! Just 10 volumes of manga and you think you're Japanese? My bookshelf is literally filled with manga, and that's just the ones I can display publicly...

I started watching Mobile Suit Gundam 00 in the Sci Fi Channel's Ani-Monday lineup. I missed the first two episodes so I don't know entirely what's going on in the story, but so far I guess it's a good series. As far as Adult Swim is concerned, I've missed too many episodes of Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit to follow along, and I simply gave up on Bleach and Code Geass. It's times like this when I really miss the Anime Network 24/7 service.

Yes, I really enjoyed it.

It's so nice to see an anime which makes me think "yes, that couldn't have been done using live action".

Animation is a genre that should encourage experimentation since you can do things with animation that you can't with live action, but so often you see such dull and boring uses of it.

Mind Game was refreshing.

I'll watch Kemonozume sometime.

Just finished watching A New Translation (the Zeta Gundam recap movies released a few years back) and I must say I'm reasonably impressed.

Heir to the Stars was a pretty mediocre way to kick it off, rushes through the first six or so episodes at a breakneck pace wasting no time to actually introduce us to our central cast and hopping straight into all the explosions. The new animation (which Wikipedia alleges is most prominent in this one) is very poorly implemented and used in the oddest of scenes (stock footage will be used to show a character being punched in the face, but the following shot of said character falling over will suddenly be brand new).

Lovers manages to make up for this by being almost entirely new animation and sticking as close as possible to the show's pace, but then in the last act it perplexingly skips ahead around a dozen episodes and consequently loses some of the most memorable scenes from the TV series.

The direly titled Love is the Pulse of the Stars is about a 50/50 split of new and old visuals, but it implements the new work far better than the other films and despite yet more plot alterations, it manages to survive due to a fantastic balance of dialogue and action scenes. The ending is entirely different, opting to end on an oddly happy note as opposed to the soul-crushing TV finale, but it leaves many unanswered questions that will probably never be addressed.

While better than most compilation films, this trilogy isn't on quite the same par as the show, but if you're a fan dying to see how the new story plays out and how the look of the characters and mecha has improved, it is a must-watch. For newcomers to Gundam, it also makes for a decent bite-sized version of a lengthy series.

Anyone know of a good emo-anime?
I mean, some anime about love and silliness, like Love Hina, Mabuharo or Toradora? With lots of humor and not so much serious or battle oriented.

I like this type of anime the most. :3

Anyway, I plan to actually start posting more. Once I finish finals that is. I haven't been watching too much anime lately, but I did buy some Jojo's Bizarre Adventure volumes. DAMN YOU COLLEGE!
