I liked the Animatrix. It had lots of talented people behind it. I haven't watched it in a long time, though. I should dig through my droors full of VHS tapes and watch it.

Well, the plot revolves around Brain having Pinky fall into spring of drowned martial arts master, it was quite funny.

Did you just say "Would you like to making fuck?"
I also recommend the outtakes on the Samurai Deeper Kyo DVD's.
I rented Samurai Deeper Kyo once. I didn't even bother to finish watching the first DVD. did not like it.
So, I fucking finally finished Samurai Champloo last night. And off-fucking-course, when I'm watching the fucking alst episode, first my little brother sits next to me and starts asking stupid questions, and soon after that, my big brother comes and reminds me that "watching anime won't get you girls, you know. And if it does, they're ugly."
I can't exactly remember the last time I wanted to punch someone's throat as hard.

Hate to break it to you, but those characters, they don't actually exist.

Me and a buddy got interviewed for the radio a few days ago (CBC had some dude drop by a local cosplay gathering to interview folks about weeaboo faggotshit) and supposedly they dropped the bit where we explained how to play Washizu Mahjong.
All that aired (according to the two people that heard it due to bad scheduling) was us giving a brief bit of personal info and talking a bit about Akagi.
I bet all those annoying Naruto cocksuckers got their shit aired unedited.

More storyline, less random humour. Personally, I prefer the show, although I know people who would shoot me for saying that.

Would any of you know any anime's that would be somewhat like the mafia, etc.?

Baccano, Akagi and Black Lagoon all have organized crime related plots.
If you've got a strong stomach, you may also want to read Ichi the Killer.

Benkei in New York is one of the finest manga ever written.

I feel like re-reading it, because it's awesome.

Why don't you tell us a bit about what kind of anime you like?

Gokusen is mafia based, but the manga is better than the anime. Gungrave is definetly something you should look into. Balck Lagoon is also good, but deals more with mercenaries that work with many clients, some of them russian mafia. THat should be enough to tide you over.
I saw BL, and I thought it was pretty good, but if you watch the Japanese version of it, whenever Rock is translating sentences for Balalaika (or whatever her name is), she has a pretty bad accent, haha, but it was good.
Oh yeah, one more question, so I saw ep. 18 of Excel saga, and I now need to find out if the manga has translations, and if I can even buy it in California, haha.
So.... does Municipal Force Daitenzin have an english translation?

Uh, yeah, you've never been to a bookstore?
lol, Excel Saga is really common, even in Canadialand.

You weren't very clear, what with asking for Municipal Force Daitenzin in a seperate sentence.
Also no, there is no official English translation, it is doujinshi after all. Indepedently published Japanese comics never see mainstream English release.
There's most likely scanlations, though. Check /rs/.
